Probably needed to. Just sayin
Yeah the extra weight probably helps him hold his position down low against the bruisers but it limits him in so many other ways. His "bubble" weight was ideal for him IMO.

Oh I just meant for rehab purposes. Lighten up the load then build it back up. I’m sure he was doing a lot of light impact workouts.

Monty says not to get too excited about Chris Paul putting up shots. He was doing that last week too.

It's part of the progression.

Got it, but I still think he's better as a slimmed down Saric.
Depends what his role is going to be. As a small ball backup 5 like last year, I actually think he was ok with his previous size. If they envision him as more of a 4 moving forward, the slimmed down version might work out better.

When I had a similar thumb injury as Paul last summer, shooting the ball was pretty easy. There is limited flex on the thumb when shooting. Catching passes was the big hurdle. If you think about it, when you catch a basketball pass it is the thumbs that catch the brunt of it. Not only did it hurt, but my thumb just felt weak, and there was a big mental hurdle as well as the physical one.

Monty talks about the players getting too engaged with the referees as I think we all did as well.

Twitter reporting that Chris Paul was seen dribbling with both hands today.

This is why in the Toronto thread I said that Monty needs to take one for the team sometimes. If the whole team and even us, are sensing the one sided officiating, Im sure Monty does too.

I abhor giving away free throws on technical fouls but in this case I agree, sometimes Monty has to take one for the team.

He seems way too nice and in control to take one for the team but I think he could designate an assistant to do it for him.

How many T's does Monty have as a coach? I don't know of a site that lets you look up that info for coaches.

I agree but I don't think having it come from an assistant will get us what we want (the right to play our style, just like the other good teams) I think he needs to make a point though. It's easy for me to say because it won't cost me anything but he needs to hammer the point home in post game interviews.
