How do we move his contract without taking on a comparable salary in return? Is there a team with cap room that’s going to use it on Dario?
A team under the cap that is rebuilding takes picks and Dario to build a war chest of picks?

The problem with that theory is that our future picks are not worth much more than a second-rounder.

Why can't we take equal salary and cut said players to save the money?

It would have to be somebody with a non-guaranteed contract that doesn’t become guaranteed at the start of the offseason, and whose current team would be willing to trade him for Dario. Do you know of anybody who qualifies?

Isn't that usually the reverse though? You trade a longer deal for a shorter deal and then, when you can, you waive him and eat that year's salary. Saric has only one more year, anything we could do with some other guy in a trade we could do just as well with Saric.

I guess if some other team really wants Dario and is willing to swap one year contracts and sweeten it with a pick it could happen. But that's not going to happen either so I'd say he plays for us unless his injury comeback fails and he retires or something like that.

I completely forgot he only had one year left.

Man… this country is about to go into another wave of Covid and could wreak havoc on the playoffs as we get deeper.

Ayton, Booker, Javale and… Cam (?) had it so far this season?

Player/coach interviews are already useless but especially so when it’s on the court during a practice.

The Suns need to have a separate location which is quieter to do interviews at the training facility.

Also the reporters need a microphone. After a game it's often hard to hear the questions.

That's why all the pre-game handshake stuff makes me nervous. All of that "contact" pre-game could lead to an outbreak on the team. I hope guys are "quarantining" a bit more than usual to ensure that they stay healthy this playoffs.

I guess you saw the video of Cam Payne talking about all the handshakes he and Bridges give out.

So Shamet is hurt. Man....he looked like he was showing some life off the bench. Hopefully, he can play.

It's always something. I'm hoping the injury to Shamet is nothing serious.

Needless to say but this is why roster depth is so important. The playoffs are a war of attrition.

I think Crowder did too.

I hope the NBA just dumps the protocols entirely. MLB and NFL both have.

I know we're only getting tidbits of the actual shooting practices and drills, but I'm questioning the value of these guys taking shots that they are almost never going to take in game. Above the break 3's has a bit of value, Ayton and Javale have shown there are opportunities for that, but they are almost never in the corners.

Not a fan of "entirely". I mean if someone is really ill with Covid they should not be allowed to be around the rest of the team or personal. I am sure many of them still have vulnerable team members. However, if they are showing no symptoms? I could see the league dropping that at some point to follow suit.

I think they should treat it like any other contagious illness. If you're sick, stay home, when you feel better, come back.

I think the protocols served a purpose and the danger was real, but these new variants are not worth special treatment.
