Eric Gordon would make sense.
Dennis JohnsonAgreed. Marion was a much better rebounder but even if you factor in Shawn's advantage on the defensive boards, Bridges is still the superior defender. IMO Bridges is probably the best defender we've had although I could make a good case for Cliff Robinson too.
Some of Cams money is locked up in players atm. ie Shamet maybe CP3 if he keeps playing like he is they will find a way.Unless Chris Paul retires after this season (thereby freeing payroll), how can the Suns possibly afford to keep Cameron Johnson?
Whether it was our coach, our system or DJ himself, his defense just didn't seem as impactful in Phoenix as it had been in Seattle. By the time he left I'd convinced myself his reputation was greatly exaggerated. Of course I had to change my mind once he turned up the heat as a Celtic but regardless, I'd put his defense in Phoenix closer to a late career Raja Bell than in Mikal or Cliffy's class. Unfortunately our defense has been so porous over the years, even DJ's mediocre stretch with us is still better than most defenders we've had.Dennis Johnson
From a roster construction perspective that kind of makes sense, but only if you believe he will get his game back to where it was.Klay?
Lakers would trade Westbrook in a heartbeat I would bet.A team would want a boatload of assets to take on Ben Simmons' contract, not to mention matching salaries.
Let someone else give him a chance - I want that bum nowhere near my team.Give Ben Simmons a chance.

It wouldn't. About the only worse shooter than Westbrook is Ben Simmons.I'm sure the Lakers would like to dump Westbrook's contract. Maybe something like this would work.

They would still probably do it, but trading garbage for garbage doesn't accomplish much.

In what world could Westbrook be characterized as a "veteran shooter"?Lakers would trade Westbrook in a heartbeat I would bet.
Well, he's certainly a veteran and if he gets the ball, he does tend to shoot. In what world could Westbrook be characterized as a "veteran shooter"?
