Man Ayton keeps playing so horribly this season you gotta trade him at deadline. He’s been freaking dreadful this season. No defense, plays like a total puss offensively and just a fouling machine. His third foul tonight may have been one of the dumbest fouls Ive ever seen. He was outplayed in the post by reed and Tucker.

Know why this team won’t be a real contender this year even if everyone returns to total health? It’s because Ayton and bridges peaked already. No growth.

Ayton completely wet and crapped the bed last night, such a disappointing showing from him last night. He was spoon fed, we needed those buckets to put is right there to take the game. They were simple plays during a crucial part of the game.

I remember the time he was really tearing it up, showing aggression and making a real impact. Was he feeling disrespected then? I wonder what clicked then vs now and so many other times of the last few years.

I also got scolded (not you) when I said he really seems to need others to set up his scoring and difference making. I still believe that’s the case most nights. He needs to be in an offensive flow to make a big enough difference.

We need a player that can show up consistently, get his own shot and control the paint. I’m guessing that’s why many are frustrated with him. He has the tools but the inconsistency vs pay is making it more difficult.

That and Chris Paul is 63 and has absolutely melted down over and over when there has been any kinds of pressure.

We had a really important offseason and we did nothing.

Where is the beef at power forward?

The Suns have totally ignored this position and it's only going to get worse as opponents exploit the Suns inside.

Worse yet, the Suns don't have enough shooters to spread the court.

Did we ever have a shot at getting Jordan Clarkson? Seems like he is killing it.

On the bright side, Damion Lee looks like a legit player. He looks like how Shamet was supposed to. With Lee's emergence and the resurrection of Cam Payne, Shamet really doesn't have a place in the rotation. He should be attached to Crowder in any trade that's made. That would clear some salary, allow us to acquire a higher salaried player in return, and save Monty from forcing him into the rotation somewhere.

Suns have some players that aren't contributing in Crowder, Saric, Shamet and Craig. That's almost $35 million.

At least Saric has an excuse.

I was really down on Lee when he was acquired but he sure has an edge, guts and no fear of taking shots. Shamet has been a disappointment as i was really excited to get him, he just seemed like the perfect shooter for our 2nd unit.

I'd be okay with moving him but injuries have already had cp3 and payne out. That would just leave Book and Lee if Shamet goes. There's zero chance we develop Washington Jr.
Saric is a shell of himself too, i thought with him playing over the summer he'd be serviceable. Not by nba standards so far.

Must be that new math. 100 - 63 = 37.

I think it is unfair to lump Craig in there. He has had a good season thus far other than last night's game.

And he just shouldn’t be expected to produce as a starter. He’s a great energy guy off the bench. But not starting material for a team that desperately needs size, shooting and playmaking.

At least Cam gave you one of those 3 and every once in a while some play making.

Craig is a nice utility player coming off the bench but as a starting power forward, averaging 5.4 points and 3.7 rebounds is not a lot.

He wasn't brought here to be a starting power forward.

Will Utal trade Markanen if they start losing a couple games?

I don't think so. The Jazz just beat the Hawks in Atlanta and are 10-3. Markkanen is playing like a young star.

at his best, is he a top two player on a contending team? because that's what the jazz need.

I like Markkanen a lot. The Jazz do as well. IMO, he is their best player.

For who or what? Probably take a couple of picks and/or a good youngster. The Suns don't have anything that could get it done unless Utah wants a few late 1sts a few years from now.

Never been a fan of the ball as the log on the front of the jersey, and am still not. Would have liked to see the Navajo word for Phoenix (Ahééhíshííh) on the front instead, but oh well. That same word also means California in Navajo, so maybe that complicates it.
