Only the Suns would make Boozer look amazing.

Damn, Dwight is gonna go for 50 on Friday...I'm calling it.

Does Steve Albert seem a beat late on a lot of his emphatic calls? Scola's shot is already clanking off the rim, "GETS IT TO SCOLA!"
Just as I was warming up to Steve Albert's style, I noticed the same thing. He is a step slow in calling the play as it evolves. Eddie Johnson has been bailing him out.

Greg Schulte used to have the same problem with the D'backs. He called the play after it happened when the color commentator should have been given air time. To his credit, the Guv'nor improved, even at this late stage of his career.

And baseball is far easier to call than the hectic back-and-forth action of basketball. On the other hand, there are enough good play-by-play basketball announcers to know that it can be done well.

This is probably not the game but the Suns need to give Marshall some playing time. His absence of playing time is reminiscent of Alando Tucker. This is not a good sign.

Get Beasley out of the game, he's done.

Okay, but he does good things and they almost always go unnoticed by you (apparently). He occupied the defense giving Dragic an open lane to the hoop. He made a really nice pass to Scola who forgot to make the layup, and so on. He is not what we need him to be, nobody would say he is but you keep calling him garbage and it's clear there's more to this guy than just that. Right now, he's more liability than asset but it isn't all bad. He clearly wants to be a team player and I think that's impacting his decision making as it's not something he's ever tried to be before IMO.

Steve

Yeah, everyonce in a while he makes a nice play, but given the amount of possessions he takes up he should be doing something here and there. IMO, he has been an extremely negative presence on both ends so far, and the stats back that pretty strongly. And I agree that its he decision making that is the biggest problem. About 80% of the shots he takes are dumb shots, his habit of bringing the ball up on offense then running straight into a double team is maddening.

But Beasley as a player is a combination of lazy and stupid, and the bad habits he came to this team with appear to be being heavily reinforced by the supposed encouragement for him to continue to force his offense. I dont think you can fix his problems by expanding his role and giving him free reign in the offense, and so far it certainly is failing dramatically.

boozer gets away with so much, could have been a charge. my guess is that they figured he didn't have the ball anymore

Beasley had a horrible game and yet Gentry did not even take him out. Our last game against the Nuggets he was playing well and Gentry took him out.

How can anyone justify keeping Gentry around? The guy's a tool. He's best suited as an assistant coach.

Really? Youre going to rip on Gentry for his handling of the Denver game? We won by 10! He is using the same rotation tonight as he did last game. Gentry cant go out there for the players and force them to not suck. The Bulls are a very good defensive team and we have a roster full of chuckers.

Yea! Due to near perfection play by Gortat and Dragic defensively and offensively. Can't expect them to play like that every night.

Some nights, we're gonna actually need good coaching rather than the talent of the team winning us games.

lol, its impossible to take you seriously. He also got good play from the same group that is on the court right now digging their way back.

Gortat and Dragic have good, not great games... its their "near perfection" that won the game in-spite of the coach... Beasley goes 2-13, Morris is 3-11, Brown 1-7... and that is the coaches fault...

Right. You rip coach if we win, you blame the coach if we lose...

Meanwhile our bottom 5 talent roster is immune to criticism. I am going to have a blast with our sig bet.

I'm thinking more and more the Suns should start Dragic and Telfair, however, they would need a third PG to run the second unit. They both bring it defensively and offensively. Essentially a two PG offense.

I know, all indications this guy is a bust. I've seen this guy on the court maybe once.

And now the team is making a huge run (and virtually all of our runs this year, Beasley is on the bench), but... I'm sure the players are doing this despite how badly Gentry is trying to screw them up... right?
