Bledsoe got the awkward first meeting out of the way in preseason style in October, when he seemed comfortable applying pressure and came up with four steals against the Clippers.
“I think he’s just playing with a lot of confidence, as he should be,” Paul said today. “He’s playing hard. He’s playing the right way. I expect him to get a huge roar from the fans tonight.
“Bled won’t be the first one of my friends that I played against in the NBA. It’s basketball. We’re going out to compete and win the game. We’ve both got a job to do.”
* Cole Mickelson’s Stone Cole Fact o’ the Day: The Suns are 11-0 when attempting more free throws than their opponent. That is an important one tonight against the Clippers, who rank second in the NBA with 28.9 free throw attempts per game.
C: Miles Plumlee … DeAndre Jordan
PF: Channing Frye … Blake Griffin
SF: P.J. Tucker … Jared Dudley
PG/SG: Goran Dragic … Jamal Crawford
PG: Eric Bledsoe … Chris Paul
Key Clippers injuries: J.J. Redick (wrist) and Reggie Bullock (ankle) are out.
Key Clippers reserves: Matt Barnes, Darren Collison, Stephen Jackson, Willie Green, Byron Mullens
I think it would be beneficial for Tucker to guard Crawford or Paul to preserve some energy for our back court.
Will be nice for our guys to see Dudley and Gentry again as well. Go Suns!
