Okay, then in the offseason it's Stoudemire and the Cleveland pick for Odom and Bynum. That way D'Antoni gets to coach Odom, Stoudemire can play with his MVP, and everyone is happy.

huh???

and his eyes go as wide as anything I've ever seen, saying WOW, as if the options were just too good to be true.

Yeah, he had the same expression when he discovered fire, and then the wheel. Played out. Get a new expression, Steve. :D

It's kind of scary that the Lakers fan is the only other person on the board with a sense of humor.

See Cheese, that's the thing...I'm reluctant to trade Bynum in a KG package because I don't like moving young for old...I'd move him for an Amare in a tenth of a heartbeat though. Just a long term net gain kind of thing.

You could even trick me...say...Bynum for Am.. (and I'm signing before you finish) ...eche....

I can't see it happening (for a zillion reasons), but mostly because I am not convinced Bynum is ever going to be a GREAT player. I think he looks like a pretty good one, but Amare is already an elite player and neither Odom and Bynum are at that level.

Of course you would. Everyone outside of Orlando would love to trade for Amare.

i just think the ship is sailing on Kobe and this Laker team is gonna have to make a bold move to make sure Kobe doesn't jump overboard in the next couple years. As much as I hate him, it's a shame to waste this type of talent... actually, what the hell am I saying? No it's not!

You're a lot easier to put up with when you haven't been drinking. I hope you called a cab tonight.

;)

I know it's dumb! But to complain about it (and I think I was actually put on ignore two years ago) is even DUMBER (I love that non-word!).

I disagree entirely. Kwame has actually been instrumental in playing d on KG and Duncan and the like. Seriously. Not many people can do that. And that is important in the West.
Anyone at his size that is a poor rebounder and can't block shots cannot be considered even a moderate defender. Yes, he can body up big guys because of his size. But any big that can put the ball on the ground will run circles around him because Kwame has worse footwork than most college post players. He could play a role a la Kurt Thomas, but then again Thomas actually has a midrange jumper and is a true professional that doesn't get mentally taken out of games by questionable calls and/or missed opportunities. Kwame's a big body that will sometimes catch a wide open pass next to the basket and dunk it but that's about it.

One of the great things about the LA based Suns fans is how loyal they've been to the Suns. Same guys (mostly guys I think) were here when the discussion was about how terrible Frank Johnson was as coach and whether the Suns should trade Marbury (period when I first got involved).

It's been a long wait for a team with a serious shot at the title. After tonight's game we know that this team can do it this year. After going through some very lean years, it is awfully sweet and I would guess even better for the LA Suns fans (if that's possible).

I've been here since the board was on Rivals.com and ran by Chandler Mike. I actually came from the ESPN boards with a poster by the name of Sunscat, who hasn't been around for several years now (He is or was a regular at phxsuns.net) There's been a few speed bumps along the way, but it's pretty easy to be loyal to this board.

you have no idea how sweet this is right now - all my Laker friends want to kill themselves - literally, I got text messages from various different people tonight that said: "Kill me now", "put me out of my misery", "are you celebrating yet, you douchebag".

and those don't even compare to last season's comeback - that was priceless. The playoffs could have ended after that Game 7 for all I cared. Especially since my best friend was flown out to Phoenix by this girl he was screwing, got club level seats, had everything payed for and then PAYED FOR IT having to sit with 20,000 screaming Suns fans as he watched the largest Laker Game 7 loss in history.

it will be even better next year when in the first game between the two at Staples, that same daft SOB has to go with me, wear a Nash jersey and cheer for the Suns the entire game. and e, if you don't think that's funny, I don't know what to say.
