It is like all the fears we had in preseason have been in full effect the past 4 games.

No defensive rebounding and not much interior defense. Nash covered up a lot of those problems with the potent offense. Offense charges these guys up and when they get turnovers they score.

They are not passing the ball up, heck sometimes they can't even get the ball inbounds.

Seems like every bounce went the Suns way for a while, but now it is the opposite. Even when they had guys to rebound or they would make a good defensive play they would immediately commit a turnover or just fail to get a handle on the ball.

They are walking the ball up and standing around the perimeter on offense. Without Nash to set the table they look pretty lost. It is like a bunch of solders with no general. They will have to play much better defense and rebound to win because they don't seem to be able to run very much without Nash.

Whats the situation with Jim Jackson? Could we move somebody to New Orleans for him?

We need SOMETHING! ANYTHING from our bench.

That's what struck me the most - how tame and 'normal' (i.e., typical strolling NBA tempo) they have frequently looked these last several games. I was standing here screaming at them to RUN fer chrissake!!

This will show how totally ignorant I am about basketball, so forgive me, and I know this is probably like asking a slugging third baseman to take over as closer, but - if Amare has the energy and is as frustrated by this as he at least sometimes seems to be, is he at all capable of taking over some of Nash's duties now and then? I mean, someone has to get them running and sharing.

The best we could really hope for Amare to do is get the board and look up the court for a quick outlet. The problem is right now nobody seems to be running. Of course it is hard to run when you aren't sure of the rebound. Barkley may have been able to lead the break his first couple years here but it is a bit much to ask Amare to do the same.

The Suns need to be passing the ball up the court because they don't have anyone to dribble up the court with the speed and handle of Nash.

Basketball is dependent so much on energy and aggressiveness. The beating the Suns have taken on this trip, along with losing Nash seem to have taken it out of them.

Marc Jackson had a good quote on ESPN I like, "Basketball is about the three E's Energy, Effort, and Execution". The last few games the Suns seem to be lacking in all three at times. Sometimes when they get the first two going the third breaks down.

Still 31-7, they were bound to have a slump. Most teams do over the course of 82 games.

It is amazing how 1 player has made such a difference. Without Nash we are last years team. He has made everyone better players. Without him the whole team has regressed. Sicne we had to pay his lousy contract anyhow, it appears we should have hung on to Eisley. He is a serviceable backup.
Are there any CBA players worth bringing in?
