This should be a fun game to watch.

:p

Seriosuly, two different teams (both very good) going against each other- offense vs. defense, running vs. half-court set.
Tempo is everything in this game- if Phoenix makes San Antonio play their game (running) they will win. If San Antonio forces the Suns in a half- court game, Phoenix is screwed. It will be interesting to see how the mismathes work out- Duncan and Nesterovic vs. Amere and Shawn.

I am predicting a Spurs win tonight, but as I said, IF Phoenix can dictate the tempo, they will win the game.

I work tonight so I get to find out how many of my patients are Suns fans.

If you are unconcious, you are probably a Suns fan. LOL

The line on the game opened up at Spurs -5 and over/under 198.

A few days ago I would have picked the Spurs to win this game, but now I'm starting to lean the other way.

It should be a close, hard-fought game, kind of like the playoff games of two years ago. The Spurs will have a 'comfortable' lead early in the fourth quarter, but then the comeback will begin... :D

I just can't bet against the Suns in any game this year. They've been finding ways to win games against all odds. Even when guys have off nights or the officiating is bad or they're down 13 in the 4th qtr with 7 minutes left in the game. I'm sure the refs will suck tonight as they almost always do everytime we play the Lakers & Spurs. I don't think the Spurs can keep up with us for 4 qtrs.

I can't say with any certainty that the Suns will win, but I certainly also can't say the Spurs will win either. I think this will be a toss-up, which in itself is quite an accomplishment. I want the Suns to win, and I won't be surprised if they do, but I also won't be surprised if the Spurs win. The only thing that will surprise me is if either team is blown out.

I would be really surprised if the Suns were blown out. They're the only team in the league not to lose by 10+ pts in a game. I think our worst loss was by 5 to Cleveland in OT. Of course it helps when you've only lost 3 games......

My concern is that the Suns will be too jacked up at the start of the game and lose focus. They have to work very hard to play good defense but avoid unnecessary fouls. Also, they have to be prepared to be patient on offense and avoid too many contested early jump shots.

I am very interested to watch the contrasting styles and who is forced to blink first.

I don't think the Spurs can run with the Suns. If the Spurs play good transition defense and limit runs with prudent timeouts like the Wolves did that will give them the best chance to win.

The best case is a halfcourt game that the Suns win anyway. :)

My prediction...

SA comes out tighter than a wound up golf ball.

PHX starts out quick, jumping to a double-digit lead.

The refs start calling it close.

SA gets back into the game from the line.

Mike D gets ejected.

Amare posterizes Duncan in the 4th.

Suns win in OT. 109-108.

You think even with Overtime, that the Spurs will be able to score 108 points?

I don't think we'll get to 109, but I'd like us to hit 100. If we do, then I think we'll win.

They're going to have to. ;)

wow we got handily beaten.... Marion with a really bad game, Q rich 0 for 7, Nash with only 4 assists.... Stoud had a huge game but everyone else seemed taken out of their game by the Spurs. We really are not quite there yet ... the best team in the league just showed themselves.

That was an ass-whooping if I've ever seen one. That looked like an NBA team playing an average high school team.

Oh well, we'll blow out some crappy teams and we can sing kumbaya and celebrate small ball.

:(

I somewhat expected this (although not this bad). We were on a long winning streak and then had to play one of the best teams (if not the best) on the road, I figured we'd lose.

Nash played well for a qtr (O only... Parker torched him all game long), Amare played well on offense the whole game (not on D or rebounding), and the rest of the team didn't leave the team plane. We couldn't rebound, hit outside shots, or play D ... that is a recipe for disaster.

Although the game was disappointing, its just a loss. Its not like our season rode on this one game alone or anything. We just need to be ready to play our next game and move on

OT If David Stern has that officiating crew in anything meaningful for the rest of the year, he should be taken out to the street and shot. I know it didn't cost us the game but damn they were GOD AWFUL

I am not surprised they got beat like this. You just can NOT be competative with an undersized small forward playing against a huge power forward nor can you have a power forward guard legit centers. You can't get rebound, you have to double team, and you give wide open shots.

It's that simple.

So, how did Seattle beat San Antonio, Coach Wooden?

One friggin game and you're ready to diminish the 24-4 start. Typical crap you hear spewn from people who rarely watch this team.

How many games have you watched this year?

I've got news for you. PHX will lose again. NEWSFLASH.

I'll remember your comments as the season progresses. And, don't come back saying you thought they could do it.
