I don't see one... I'm getting ready to watch the game, hoping the Suns can take one and save some dignity. Even beating the Spurs once on their court would give us much confidence next year.

Yeah it doesn't look good... however, we have been down 10+ in each of the first two games also, and ended up making it a close game going into the 4th.

I'm listening online, and the suns announcers are saying the reffs aren't calling anything. How accurate is that?

they said based on the crew tonight, it would be rough in the pregame, and so far it seems that way. the spurs also seem to be playing well.

Suns flat out suck. It's like watching a real NBA team play a bunch of female high school sophmores.

What a horrible way to wrap up a really great year.

I guess we'll find out if they have any pride at all left in the second half.

Just put in Jake, Shirley, and Bo. The starters are losing by 20 at halftime, how much worse can it get??

I love how up and down some of you this board are. We play bad (after playing well most of the whole year, and even being in games) and it's "SUNS SUCK!!" and "we are soo terrible" and then the "make the trades posts" come out. It really gets old. Remember how long it's been since we were this far in the playoffs?

Yeah the spurs are playing well, but we had a great season, and passed everyone's expectations. Now we all wanted them to show us what they had often in the season, but it will come.

I'm exited about this team, not dissapointed. This game is rough, but this team has shown flashes of what it can be. We are back to the top of the NBA, and the future is bright.

Go SUNS!

I agree.. damned if you do.. damned if you don't. This game though is numbing to watch the lack of fire.

Amare WANTS this game

Wrong. Amare WANTS this quarter. If he wanted the game he wouldn't have waited 36 minutes to wake up.

A little too late...

Well, they won the fourth quarter today but the first half killed them when Spurs were perfect and we could not buy a bucket.

There were a lot of problems in this game, but I think D'Antoni has to share a lot of the blame, I don't think he played JJ like he should have. When Nash was out, we caught up, then we take JJ out and put Nash back in and it was just a seesaw game. I think we should have kept Nash out.

You are exactly right Chap.
Stars play for 48 minutes, not 10, 12, or 15.

In hindsight it was a mistake to put JJ on Parker defensively when he hasn't played in over two weeks. As bad as Nash had been defending Parker he was much better than JJ in this game at it. Parker and the rest of the Phoenix Suns played great defense. They completely smothered Nash on the pick and rolls.

Hunter didn't do much of anything statistically, but the Suns were much better when he and Amare were in the game together tonight.

If Shawn Marion complains about anything after this game he should be slapped.

Amare had a great fourth quarter. His defense against Tim Duncan in this series has been absolutely pathetic though. Then he couldn't keep Duncan off the offensive boards either. If those parts of his game ever catch up or come close his offensive game this team will be almost unstoppable.

I already prepared myself for a loss this series, so I'm really not upset. This has been the most fun I've ever had watching pro basketball.

Joe was a bit rusty, but he looked more aggressive than I thought he might. His defense was a step behind the first 3 quarters, although he looked really good in the 4th IMO.

The truth is we just didn't have the manpower. BC scrambled midyear to get us some vets and some semblance of a bench, but it'll be vastly improved nest year. So I'm pumped about that.:)

We just have nobody to go to when our starters aren't giving their best efforts.

I hope we can win Monday to avoid the sweep. Who knows, maybe we'll make history-but I'm OK with whatever happens. As long as we stays healthy, of course.

It's catch-22.

The most effective weapon allseason was Nash and p&r. We rode it too long, so that we did not practise anything else much and can't do anything now the Spurs figured out, as the only one team in NBA sofar, how to defend Nash-initiated offense.

Q had a couple of good drives without being able to finish. Amare was forcing it in the 2nd. Joe's ballhandling had not been tested against a great defense like the Spurs'. Without space created by the system, Marion has no offense nor confidence as evidenced in the missed closeup layups and a turnover on a 2-on-1 fastbreak. Also, we were shooting 3pt hot in the 1st, but with Nash out to start the 2nd, Joe trying to get anything going in vain in his place, we went away from our hot shooting.

Defensively, Amare's lack of focus lost us a lot of defensive rebounds. He was better in the 2nd half trying to lay his body to Duncan. And as someone pointed out, Joe was just too slow to contain Parker in his first game back. Q was again too far away from the 3pt shooter in one occasion in the 4th.

I'm not trying to rip on the Suns, it's just painful to see how badly they were outplayed the first 3 quarters of the game. Our defense after the 1st quarter was very nice - 20 pts per quarter. That should have been enough to beat the Spurs, but we kept turning the ball over and spotted them another 10 pt first quarter lead. It's been a great year and I am proud of the team, but we need to get tougher and deeper to contend for the Championship.
