If Fesenko hasn't signed, I wish the Suns would add him.

Eh, always liked Siler, but I suppose with Gortat, Lopez, and Frye, he wasn't going to get any playing time. I hope he finds a home somewhere in the league.

Apparently Siler's contract was not guaranteed, so the Suns saved a little more money by cutting him and keeping the roster size at bare minimum.

Why did the Suns pay and send Siler to go train with The Dream over the summer then?

No Dowdell, No Lawal and now No Siler? Season is officially over guys

I wish we held onto Siler, Dowdell, and I guess Lawal, and just amnestied Childress to lower the cap instead. You never know what injuries might occur with players coming off a long break from playing, training etc to play a jam packed schedule, so it would have been nice to have those guys on hand or stashed in D league just in case.

I guess our illustrious owner would still have to pay Chill's full salary if we amnestied him, but we can dump these guys without paying them a dime, so that explains it.

Siler did very little in the time that we had him... he was a garbage player at best. I don't know why anyone is upset about releasing him. I'd rather see Markieff Morris getting playing time than Siler lumbering around the court.

Dowdell was ok... Ronnie Price is better and they cost the same amount. They also took a chance on Telfair based on what he used to be... low risk & potentially high reward.

Agreed. It's all about the Kieff, baby!

And he already was getting the playing time as Siler did not appear in any games this season. But did it hurt to have him around in the locker room and to have another big man for practices? I don't think anyone is particularly upset that he's gone, but unless Siler asked to be released, it didn't really hurt having him on the roster either. You can carry up to 15 players on your roster, but the Suns rarely ever exceed the 13 minimum required.

Maybe they released him for his own benefit... so he could go to another team (or the D-League) & actually get playing time.
