Wow, I just heard about this movie, it's getting a 90% on Rotten Tomatoes, 18 good reviews, 2 not good.

I like Cillian Murphy and I love good sci-fi, so I hope this continues to get good reviews..

Awesome, awesome, awesome.

Warning: Anybody wanting aliens or space battles need not apply. This is a thinking man's movie and actually very realistic.

Just an incredible movie--the best sci-fi since Dark City and the best science-fiction of the new millenium so far. I can't tell you how amazing this movie was.

i'm pretty excited to see this - if nothing else, Danny Boyle's work is always, at the very least, interesting.

i'm betting a lot of people don't see or won't like this movie.

The plot to this movie doesn't seem that intresting to me, but I love Dark City so I may give it a shot.

It's very much a 2001 or Solaris-type of movie. In other words, definitely not for the teenager audience that most bombastic sci-fi movies are directed to.

saw this over the weekend and I liked it a lot, but I'm hearing the 2001 or Solaris thing A LOT and I really see very little similarities between the two types of films. 2001 and Solaris were philosophical treatises masquerading as sci-fi. This was just solid science fiction IMO.

I'm glad you liked it. I stayed away this weekend, because I haven't read any really good reviews of it yet.

You're basing whether to see it on what reviews it gets? Really?

Well, when every single review I read is negative I don't rush out and see it. If it was even getting mixed reviews I would have probably seen it already.

It's getting a 72% rating at rottentomatoes, so I wonder where exactly you get your reviews from. Positive reviews from Roger Ebert, Hollywood Reporter, LA Times, New York Times, Village Voice and several other respectable publications.

Yeah, 72% is good enough for me.

Roper and his HDNet guy guest on Sunday didn't like it at all, but seems like many do.

Saw this today...I liked it a lot...not sure it was awesome or anything, but it was pretty realistic and compelling.

I got sucked in, and I was kind of on the edge of my seat for most of it...

Good flick!

Just watched it. Very impressive. I didn't know it was Boyle's film, but I noticed a lot of similarities to 28 Days Later right away. And the female lead character was also in the 28 Weeks sequel which I watched a few days ago as well.

This is a movie that needs to be seen for its visual artistry (for lack of a better term) more so than the plot. And as with 28 Days, the musical score plays a big part too.
