Good game well fought and SF lost, Mahomes is clutch! Just think if not for Brady taking him down this might be 4 in a row for him that’s nuts!

Some on social media want to blame the missed Xtra point but he did make two very long FGs. The play calling by Kyle right after the half was the bigger problem. Going completely pass happy and putting up zero points the entire quarter.(plus the missed opportunities in first quarter.)
Wilks and the 49ers defense was pretty stellar much of the game.
Also would it have made more sense for the 49ers to kickoff first in OT? The new rules say both teams must get a turn on offense now unlike a couple years ago when a TD would have ended the game. Granted, their defense may have needed a rest to start the OT.
49ers are a really good team but seem to be cursed. They either lose in the NFC Championship Game or the Super Bowl.

Both were not great. However, angrily shouting and bumping(hard enough to knock him off balance) a 65 year old overweight guy with previous health issues is far more idiotic and dangerous.

Any team that has 5 SB championships and played in multiple others is far from cursed.

Man, Reid's mismanagement of the clock at the end of regulation almost flubbed it for the Chiefs. Let so much clock run out they couldn't even run another play down near the end zone and had to settle for the FG and overtime.
If Mahomes had spiked it with 44 seconds that would have saved at least 10 seconds

I can see both sides.
1) Ball second, you get the 4 down advantage and know exactly what you need.
2) Ball first and third, you get to set the tone (hopefully). Also, if the game is still tied after the first 2 possessions, you get the third and just need a FG.

He actually had them prepared and called a good game for most of the game
For the first time, the Super Bowl had no kickoff returns

As a Cards fan I agree. If I was a 49ers fan, losing 3 Super Bowls and several NFC Championship games in the last three decades would be a major gut punch. Especially since the SB losses were heartbreaking ones much like the Cardinals-Steelers Super Bowl.
Having numerous opportunities of being so close to winning it all and failing every single time in 30 years is probably soul crushing for some 49ers fans.(especially younger ones who really don't care that the 49ers were 5-0 in Super Bowls before they were born)
