snow, ice, wind..... if it is a mild weather day it is just another super bowl,...if it is cold and snowy,...some QB somewhere will become a legend,...or a RB...maybe a LB....

Sleet, awful, wet and freezing weather.

Playing a Super Bowl in potentially awful weather is idiotic and I hope they feel the idiocy.

I don't even think it'll go down like that. Bet they have record # of viewers, and, if the weather is awful, 10 years from now people will say, "Remember that game they played in a blizzard back in 14?" Only person who will loathe it is Bruno Mars. That dude is bummin.

I agree. If I'm going to shell out thousands of dollars to go to a SB, I want the weather conditions to be as ideal as possible. It would be the ultimate vacation & I don't want it spent in NJ during the month of February.

It's still talked about here in Dallas & I'm sure IF/when another SB game is here it won't be for awhile IMO. It basically ruined all the SB events in both cities...12" of snow in Dallas is unheard of like that here.

It's not just that...think if Goodell & his cronies move the game to Fri, Sat, Sun or even Monday like they are talking about if the weather turns ugly. How would you feel as a fan that spent thou$ands of $$$ & can't even attend the game or costs you more ca$h because gameday is moved? :bang: Law suits galore!!!

I hate to say it, but it's part of the risk you assume as a consumer. Anybody who buys a ticket to any event for an area of the country that has horrible winter weather should know what they are getting into.

That being said, it is an incredibly bad idea to hold a Super Bowl in an outdoor stadium in a cold weather city during the dead of winter, IMO.

Blizzard conditions.

Next year, when everyone is here, they'll all be saying, "Now THIS is the place to have a Super Bowl.":)

Which is exactly my point.

How would you feel if in Feb 2009 you paid a lot of $$$ to go see the Cards in their first Super Bowl, hotel arrangements & a scheduled flight back home for early Monday & then the NFL delayed the game until Monday night because of the weather? The league shouldn't be allowed to do that...period!!! If it did happen, I'm telling you...they would get their asses sued by thousands & thousands of angry fans. And they would win IMO.

I would prefer an epic Nor'easter, with severe blizzard conditions...the kind that shuts down all airports and public transportation and compels the governors of NY/NJ to issue states of emergencies and advise all people to stay indoors.

I love a good train wreck. :D

Now that's the best reason I've read yet. I'm kind of a karma guy and can't get on board the screw em train wreck thinking.

Flurries with low to no wind would be cool. Agree that it looks cool on TV.

In another circumstance I would want the freezing cold but I want denver to win and nice weather helps with that.

Yep, blizzard conditions help the seahawks and I can't get behind that.

What a bunch of sissies! Blizard, because that will make the game EPIC. Winning in weather is just one of the myriad ways teams have to be proficient at to win during the regular season. Why reward all the dome teams and fair wether teams by continually holding the game in a sterile, boring, warmed up dome. Football is about men smashing men in the face. A little freeze to go with it just makes it better. And to those crying about fans suing the league if the games moved and whatnot. Total horsecrap. You dont get to sue an airline when the weathers bad, and you dont get to sue the league for the same reason. Dont want to risk bad weather for an outdoor superbowl? DONT BUY A TICKET.

NYC is the center of the free world. Lets play ball.

This is more about the fans than it is the players! Fans are shelling out years of savings in order to attend a game of this magnitude. Why should they be subjected to conditions that don't allow you to relish in the total experience. I have friends that went to the Steelers/Seahawks SB in Detroit. He said the experience was pathetic. The weather shut down any tailgating & the reighborhoods you had to park in were scary.

I love to play and watch football in the elements. Bring on the bad weather. Snow is good. Rain and mud is good too.

I dont really care about those who are going and what their experience is jmho

If you dont want to be in cold and snow, dont go to a NJ superbowl. There is a super bowl ever year and most of them are in a dome.

The superbowl isnt about the fans attending the game it is about the two best teams competing for a title.
