Superman should NEVER use emojiis!

I know right? So dumb. Its like they are targeting teenage girls so hard not realizing that teenage girls dont watch TV. I honestly cant remember the last time my daughter watched anything but the Cardinals on TV.

It sucks because I actually think it was cast pretty well.

Supergirl is great, she's a perfect bright eyed, fresh face Kara. TK is good as black Jimmy. ;) Calista is pulling off her role, and the sister is decent as well. There's just nothing for the actors to work with here as far as story.

We have been on vacation and I forgot to record the pilot. So, we have a small bit of binge watching to do this weekend. My daughter begged me to record the series. She is a teen and very excited. I have heard they need to do some work on the villains but honestly, I never read the comics so I am not sure if there is much great source material. A friend of mine told me the comic villains she faced had the same problem unless they were common Superman foes.

I honestly don't know anything other than the old film Supergirl and the little I have seen on the cartoons the kids watch. At any rate, planning to catch up this weekend.

It's scoring 97% on RT.

My daughter isn't a teen yet, but we are planning to watch it together. I recorded the episodes on the DVR.

Both my daughters loved it. In fact, my 4 year old right after we caught up starting pretending her Barbie was Supergirl. My older one thought it was cool.

My personal observations were that it has potential but I agree with many of the reviews I have read. The bad guys need to get better.

Get it, she's a "shock jock" eh?? Ehhh? You get it? You get it? Yeah, You get it.... ;)

In other news I'm completely in love with Melissa Benoist so I'm just gonna keep watching this show until it's gone lol.

This episode was a little better other than the terrible villain pun. The scene when the girls were young and flying around totally thrilled my daughters and they both wish they could fly now.

It's cool because I loved superman so much when I was a kid and now they love super girl so life is funny how things work out. :)

I was watching this with my older daughter and I had forgot about the Flash/Supergirl crossover. It was an OK episode but it just reinforces how much I like Grant Gustin as the Flash.

At any rate, it was an OK episode. Nothing great. However, there was a couple lines in the episode that was absolutely great. Basically the gang is standing in Cat Grant's office and she says “You look like the attractive yet non-threatening racially diverse cast of a CW show”. I was LMAO. Then in the episode the Flash says "Let's settle this like women". LOL.

I haven't watched the episode, but reading around the internet, they are saying that his chemistry with Supergirl is a lot better than his chemistry with his "love interest" Iris in the Flash show. Which isn't saying much, because they have zero chemistry, just like Stephen Amell and Katey Cassidy in Arrow.

I hadn't thought of that but Grant Gustin and Melissa Benoist did have alot of chemistry in the episode.

'Supergirl’ Renewal Drama: Talks Center on Possible Jump to CW, Budget Cuts

http://www.thewrap.com/supergirl-re...on-possible-jump-to-cw-budget-cuts-exclusive/

It’s coming right down to the wire for “Supergirl.”

CBS boss Leslie Moonves is deep in talks with Warner Bros. Television about the fate of its super-expensive comic-book series starring Melissa Benoist, which wrapped up a less-than-superlative first season last month.

The network would like the show to come back, sources close to the series say, but there’s a problem. The roughly $3 million per-episode price tag CBS pays to broadcast “Supergirl” — one of the highest license fees ever for a freshman show — isn’t quite justified by the ratings. Thirteen million total viewers tuned in to the heavily-promoted premiere back in October, but about half the audience bailed over the season, according to Nielsen.

That has set the stage for a last-minute stare-down between Moonves and Warner Bros. TV chief Peter Roth. CBS will announce its fall schedule in two weeks at the upfront presentations in New York, so the clock is ticking to hammer out a deal.

My daughter is super bummed. She loves this show and although it's not the greatest I enjoy watching it with her. I wouldn't be surprised to see it jump to the CW. Honestly, the budget is going to suffer but at the same time the CW has done a pretty good job on the shows they have. Plus it might open the door for more crossovers etc.

It is going to CW. Not sure if you can consider it canceled, just moved.

Why would you consider it canceled? Regardless of your obvious CW bias, that network has a good track record with genre shows, and DC superhero shows in particular. CBS was always a horrible network for this kind of show.

I wrote the above before the announcement it was moved to the CW. My daughter is thrilled. I wonder if they are going to change anything though. Simply put, the CW would want to take advantage of more crossovers.

The Flash/Supergirl crossovers was one of the best yet and many have already said the two leads had great chemistry. The trick is constantly opening portals etc. They kind of wrote themselves into a corner at the start by making the two shows different Earths.

What? I was replying to Covert(I guess I didn't quote him). I have no issues with CW, he just said they were canceling on CBS and then moving it to CW. I just said they aren't canceling it, but just moving it.

Actually I didn't say either. The news at the time of the post was it might get cancelled or moved. I was just commenting on either scenario.

Don't know if anybody is still watching this but I enjoy watching it with my daughter and she loves it. Good enough for me.

Anyway, did anybody catch the episode where they dropped a bombshell? So basically, they just confirmed that Smallville's is part of the shows canon (alternate universe). They just mentioned Chloe, her wall of weird and off camera helped Kara crack a file when she was a teenager (flashback sequence) a few episodes back.

I know it's mostly a messy throwaway bone for fans but I still thought it was cool.
