Well, here we are with another season of Survivor. I didn't watch last time because it wasn't convenient. But I watched this first episode and I will continue to watch.

LOVE that the one tribe voted off the loud younger chick rather than the older lady. That older lady is kinda crazy, but I like her. :)

Really? I didn't much care for her though it was priceless to watch her look for the "lone" palm tree.

Once again I am left to wonder why none of these people dress appropriately for "Surviving". Bossy chick almost bounced out of her top a few times during the challenge, might be someone's cup of tea but I will take a pass. I wonder if they are given suggestions as to what to dress in, this was so obviously not a surprise.

As usual the local is stunning, the weather is moody and the participants are varied it should make for an interesting season.

Survivor Tocantins

didnt see a thread on this. Sydney is smokin! Thought for a second she was gonna get voted off and sandy was going to stay. Not sure if that 4 way alliance is gonna work out the way they wanted it to.

It would be awesome if it worked!

I am not a fan of coach. Seems very full of himself. Reminds me of some teachers I had in high school.

Coach is a grade-A dbag, but he doesnt bother me too much.

So far I can't get into this season. Usually by now I know every person by name, this time I don't know half of them. Agree on coach though he's just really irritating.

The one challenge for example the woman knew how to do the puzzle they were building, he disagreed with her, vehemently, he was wrong, she was right, they listened to him and lost. And then after the contest he's complaining about teamwork and the need for leadership as if he completely forgot he caused them to lose.

Me, too.

Perhaps it's because there doesn't seem to be a true villain this year to rally against.

Or perhaps it because they seemed to be voting off players based upon their cup size, which is generally a bad thing. :(

Does anybody watch Survivor anymore? Last post was back in March.

There is one thing I don't get this season....everyone seems to hate Sierra. However, she really does not seem that unlikeable or abrasive. Coach on the other hand seems to be intolerable. It must be in the editing, but the pecking order and the TV footage don't sync this season.

I am watching and I have to agree with you, I didn't really mind Sierra as much as her tribe did, she didn't wow me but she was OK. I agree about Coach, he is so freaking smug all the time---I can't stand him. 30 days in and he wins his first challenge? He is not the sole survivor.

I wouldn't give him the courtesy of a question at the finale let alone a million bucks.

My girlfriend and I were having that exact conversation last night. What does Sierra do that they don't show us to make her so hated, and why don't they hate coach as much as we do?

Has to be something, Coach is beyond annoying with his dragonslayer stuff, and he said it outloud so that's not just something we hear but they don't.

I gotta say Coach, I am pretty sure I would punch thatguy in the face if I was stranded on an island with him for more than 5 minutes...

But he wasn't even the guy I hated most this season...Tyson is maybe the biggest Dbag I have ever seen... seeing him get blindsided was one of the best moments I can remember in Survivor history...

I will third what you guys are saying about Sierra... I think maybe they hate her because she seems like she is simply coasting, and not really competing..

All in all, I like this season, and am FIRMLY in Taj and JT's corner....

I think they are bringing coach along because they know what a douche he is. There are few people I can remember I wanted it gone as badly as him. Still I have to wonder if I really do want him gone. He gives me a reason to watch each week.

I've actually enjoyed this season more than some of the last few. I can't even remember any of the people from the last one.

By the way, Debbie, or whatever that principles name is, is right up there behind coach after that last episode.

So did they give Taj that option to go to exile island so that the others did not find out she was married to Eddie George and did not need the money one bit? If they really wanted to make her choose they should have made her go to exile alone for the others to see their family (and Coach his Asst. Coach).

I think the reason the other players like Coach is because he is so deluded. They can vote against his plan over and over...yet he still thinks he is calling the shots.

Coach drove me nuts for the first episodes and I was like, "Bounce him. Bounce him." But now he's pure entertainment. I can't wait to hear how insane his next story is.

Agree...he is one of the most interesting characters they have ever had. I hope they give him his own reality show when he gets back. One week it could be him grocery shopping or preparing his team for the big game against the cross town rival and the following week could be him battling a pygmy tribe. I would watch the Dragonslayer every week.

I am beginning to think the producers may be paying the other contestants to keep him around. Without him...the entertainment value goes way down.

Everyone already knows that she is married to Eddie George. It came out pretty early in the season that she was married to him.

Yeah. That amazes me. I love how he told his buddy that they call him the dragonslayer. Didn't HE start calling himself that?

You are correct, sir.

I really like Taj. And this game isn't about needing the money; it's about winning.

I hope she or JT win. Love, love, LOVE JT. Seems like a decent guy and he is super, duper hot.

Surprised Erin has made it this far along. Glad Tyson got booted. He was a cocky ass.

Regarding Taj, I like her but once again I'm disappointed now that she's on the show. A few days ago on I think BET I stumbled across a reality show, think it's called I Married A Baller. The entire show is about Taj and Eddie George, their home life, their dogs, etc.

It was interesting because the show is clearly taped before Survivor , but once again the idea of a reality show taking people from normal everyday life is squashed. If it's not an actor or a writer(on Amazing Race) it's someone like Taj who has had her own reality show.

Just hard for me to believe they can't find enough "regular" people? I'd bet anything the producers of Survivor saw that show, said she's a really interesting person, and asked her to be on the show?

I am surprised that no one has yet to try and take out JT or Stephen yet. They are just controlling the game at this point. I cant really believe that you would play to win and not care about the money. As for Taj if she were to win whose to say she wouldnt give the money to charity scince she doesnt really need the money.

reality? Coach? I can't believe those two words ended up in the same sentence without something like "lack of", "not living in", or "no sense of". :)

I agree with you guys though. He so obnoxious that part of me really wants him to go, but he is incredibly entertaining. Frankly, I would keep him around just to go up against him in the end. I would do the same thing with Taj. She seems like she would be cool to have around, and you know that there will be people on the jury who won't vote for her simply because she doesn't need the money. At least one or two people which most of the time is the difference between winning and losing.

I also can't believe that everybody else is just letting JT and Stephen run the show. I like JT, but to me at this point Stephen should clearly be the winner. He seems to be the mastermind, and frankly that last immunity victory was damn impressive.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm enjoying this Survivor a whole lot more than the last one.
