It's not Sci-Fi :)

But you didn't know even after watching them? Or you never watched them?

Mike

I read the newspaper while watching them.....then about half an hour in I had no idea what was going on and just got shushed. So I gave up.

And I can't say I don't like SciFi....I did like Blade Runner, Mad Max series and Alien/s.

When I saw the price of the LOTR series at the Baseline/McClintock Target it was posted as $5.88 "As Advertised."

FWIW: If they're sold out at Target, but you still want the DVD's - find a print ad that shows the price. Wal-Mart and Target have made it known in the media that they'll match one another's prices this December.

The DVD's are sitting at Wal-Mart for $9.44.

Just an idea.

Target currently has on sale (22.99 each) various seasons of:
Veronica Mars
Gilmore Girls
The O.C.
The West Wing
Nip Tuck
One Tree Hill
Smallville

Warner Brothers Television has a promotion where you can get a rebate as much as $50 if you buy 6 which would mean if you bought six you would be paying roughly $16.50 per season (after sales tax).

Most of these same titles are on sale for $18.99 through today (Saturday) plus Grey's Anatomy, South Park, etc.

I bought the first season of 24 and the complete series of Firefly for $18.99 each.

Best Buy is having a sale on fox dvd sets for 19.99. There is a $10 coupon that you can get here and then print out and hopefully get the dvds for 9.99. Mileage may vary. I think I'm going to try this out tomorrow.

I think I'll try to get a few seasons of 24, S2 of Dark Angel, Firefly, Space Above and Beyond, Prison Break S1, and maybe a few others.

The coupon doesnt print out right and it clearly says no copies.

Nathan, your credibility just dropped a few levels in my book (based upon Shane's comments)

I don't know why. Best Buy is notorious for not looking at the fine print of coupons. A lot of times, a manager will come over and give you the price if there was a problem.

I don't see what the big deal is.

I've never played Galaga or Spy Hunter. I don't even know what a 7-11 is.

You sound like you are bragging...look at me, I've never played video games or shopped at convient stores...

(a joke based on a comment from last year! a new personal best!)

Also: Went to Target looking to get my hobbit on.

Shoulda checked the post date.

Dammit.

Sometimes this is a good thing... I was walking through my local Best buy and noticed that these stacks of 50 blank Memorex DVD's were on sale for 19.99 - right beside the price was an instant rebate for 19.99 (fine print said based on original price of 34.99 - no limit).

I gathered up all three spindles, walked to the register did not pay a dime and walked home with my blank discs.. :)

Tell me about it. Best Buy has a deal going on right now, for $19.99 for their Fox TV shows on DVD.

I found a coupon that gives you $10 off Fox TV shows. I printed it out, eventhough it said "No Copies." I took it to the line, flirted with the service rep there, and eventhough it wouldn't scan, she manually entered in the coupon for me. I bought Angel Season 3 for $10.69.

Do I feel guilty or feel like I should be dropped a few levels? Nope.

For anyone else who is interested in the deal, it included 24, Family Guy, Simpsons, Prison Break, X-Files (all 9 seasons) possibly House and a few other boxsets.

$20 is already a good deal for these sets. If you can use the $10 coupon, it becomes $10 per. Damn good deal.

Futurama's my fav.

That 70's show is also a hugely popular one.
