His slot routes are sick. To address the comparison with Welker, Swope takes his slot routes inside out (run inside, fake with shoulders and run a drag or fly to the sidelines) which Welker doesn't do. Welker runs all the way across the line of scrimmage, unless he's squatting on a hole in the zone. Swope continues moving, either taking it horizontal across the line, or breaking it outside wide and deep (back toward the side he started on). He rarely squats (which is a good thing in a BA offense). BA was hammering Luck on the crossing routes last year, so it'll be interesting to see how they use Swope. Best thing about Swope IMO is that he knows what kind of trouble his QB is in and is able to break off routes, go deep if he has time, and cut it off if not.
