how are you a Cardinal fan on here and then do the EXACT thing that major sports outposts like ESPN do to us as Cardinal fans. "noone outside the eastern time zone cares"??? get real.

Considering I don't know what sport this even refers to, and that Cornell was in the championship, I'm going to side with Gee here.

I didn't know ping pong had OT. Seems like a low scoring match.

Sorry. You may not like it, but that doesn't make it any less true.

Lacrosse is a regional sport. Outside of the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic it's a club sport, if anyone plays it at all.

Nope, not sarcasm.. It was horrible.. College Lacrosse? On a prime spot on a National Holiday? I started flipping channels and ended up on Lifetime..

it's always on memorial day and I was glad to watch it, although not the matchup I would of wanted, a really good game

not sure what is not to like about lax - it's a really fun game

also if it didn't draw viewers, ESPN wouldn't show - especially since it going to OT pushed back the 80000th broadcast of kobe doing work

by far the largest growing sport in California, players from Cali are popping up all over teams on DI. Are you from Cali or just a bandwagon Laker fan, I would think you would see the sport if you lived there.

And it doesn't surprise my that Skkorp doesn't like the sport because Syracuse runs the sport.

At least MigratingO brought some sense into it, if it was just a regional sport, they would just have regional coverage.

I'll validate the conjecture here... I grew up in Connecticut and LOVE the sport.
I never actually played it (had/ many friends who did/do). I played football and baseball which always conflicted with LAX. But man, I always, always, always enjoyed attending the games in High School and College.

Yeah, the sport is 'sweeping the nation'! That's why the same 10 schools make the playoffs every year.

yeah - imagine that, college sports are top heavy ...... who would of thunk it?

the sport is moving west - colorado is really becoming a haven for it (UD had a nationally ranked program this year - would of loved to see my dragons beat them up there, but couldn't justify the trip) .......... CA is also starting to expand at the prep level

the sport is definitely stronger from the upper portion of the south, through the mid atlantic, up to the NE and into canada ........ a lot of that has to do with the history of the game, but it's definitely expanding as people realize how great of a game it is

there really isn't anything to not like about it - i wish the sting were still playing here, those games were a blast

Is everything
people hate what they can't do.

Aw c'mon, it's just about body position, a monkey could play that sport. :)

Hate is too strong a word, but I don't really see the appeal in watching guys run around holding a contraption strung with loose netting who fling a small solid rubber ball every now and then. But I'll give you that as a TV sport, LAX is probably a notch more exciting than that game where people can only use their lower extremities and head to strike a ball. When LAX, golf, bowling or the WNBA are the only sports on the telly, it's natures way of telling me it's time to go mow the grass or wash the car.

lmao. so what about:

Hockey- where they just slap a rubber puck around
Football- where they just throw a dead pig around
Basketball- where they just chuck a ball into a circle.

starting to realize how dumb that sounds?

and how is lacrosse just about body position, put away the lawn mower one of these days and actually watch before you pretend to know what you are talking about.
