The Bucks 2003 second-round draft pick, Szymon Szewczyk, went bananas in their summer league game last night, dropping 30 points and 16 boards. We have no idea who he is, no idea if he's any good, but his box score line was absurd. ...

Trade??? :D

The Suns took a long look at Szewczyk before the draft last year. He's supposed to be a tremendous athlete.

He's a PF only, though, so there's no point in lusting after him now. :p

We need a back-up PF now that Dice is going away. I know we signed White but I don't think he will make the team and Vroom (sp) is going to have to put some time in at C.

Szymon isn't a center and his season for Berlin wasn't good I thought. When I saw him he looked not even as good as the year before he was drafted and his new team didn't win the championship for the first time in 8 years or so.

Summer league stats can be deceptive. The Suns had some guys put up good numbers in one or two games last summer and disappeared afterward. Part of the problem is that the competition is so uneven. One night you may be going against a young NBA starter and the next night a project from a division II school.
