Would anyone take a flier on Tacko Fall in the second round. 7-6, 290, 8-4 wingspan (not a misprint). It looks to me like he has eyesight problems. I do not know if that can be corrected. If so, there might be huge upside.

I was hoping it was a typo and we were going to talk about tacos. :)

It seems there are always these extremely tall players but it comes down to can they play basketball.

Of course there are players like Gheorghe Muresan who could play.

Well. Here is some vid of him playing against Villanova this year.

He moves pretty well for a guy that big. I think he would be worth a shot in the second round. Obviously going to have to hit the weights, but you can't teach height!

He'll probably get drafted. Based on that highlight clip, he looks like Len with worse free-throw shooting, but a better instinct for moving toward the basket on offense rather than away from it.

Yeah I'd be down to take a flier on him. In the 2nd round, can't hurt.

But a guy this tall has a pretty good chance of dealing with ankle and foot problems eventually.

It's more likely that a team with multiple first round picks will take a flier on him like the 76ers. The Suns first pick in the second round #32 will probably be used on a more ready NBA talent and the Raptors pick may be too late to draft him. Can't help but root for the young man assuming he stays in the draft.

He is not the human skeleton that Manute Bol was (or many others that size). He looks to have fairly normal body composition. He is a little slow. But those glasses are really thick.

You have to read this story. He was basically homeless when a family in Florida took him and his brother in. They were associated with the Liberty Christian School there. Turns out he is a very good student. He is a 4.0 engineering student and scored in the 90 percentiles on his SAT's as a recent immigrant. He speaks 4 languages. You cannot help but root for this kid. There will be a movie made about him someday.

I don't know if he will ever be an NBA all star, but if you could make him a serviceable back up center, it would definitely be worth a second round pick.

Why bother with someone who will never pan out when the IT's, Ulis's, Whiteside's, Nikola Jokic's and Marc Gasol's of the second round are there to be found instead.

We bother with him cuz he's called Tacko Fall...and he's tall as a giant and blind as a bat. Whats not to luv about this guy??

And he keeps the ball up high! He does not bring it down! You can't teach that, apparently.

I'll take Jokic or Gasol instead obviously.

We can get Jokic or Gasol? Isn't this guy kinda like IT. One is too short to be successful, the other is too tall.

Free Tacos when we hit 100 points. He could be the poster person for that!

Easily worth a flier in the 2nd, but dang...his free throw shot looks absolutely horrid! Just his height alone he'll be able to rebound and block shots consistently...especially when he starts putting on more weight.

What couldn't he be a poster person for?? This guy is a marketing dream! I say give him a contract because of all the fun we'd have. If he didn't work out as a player he could always get a side gig as the suns mascot. He could dress up as a taco and have the suns gorilla chase him around!! :Dold

I still can't get over the 8-4 wingspan. 7-4 is considered huge. To put in perspective. Yao Ming and Pau Gasol had (have) a 7-0 wingspan. Gobert has the largest winspan of active players at 7-8.

And he looks like Steve Urkel, so you have to love him.

I would hang around in garbage time just to see if this guy dunks. Heck even late at night on TV I would watch to see him in garbage time. Even if he is the 15th guy at the end of the bench.

This clip actually shows huge improvement. This kid might actually be able to play in the NBA.
