Not!!! I know he's young and inexperienced, but the kid is getting his ass handed to him. I will NEVER no matter what happens in their careers think we made the right decision.

Ironically, Peterson has 3 yards on 14 carries so far today. His backup has 101 on 8. Everyone has a bad game sometimes.

I'm with Assface...I was going to post the same exact thing.

Both guys had really bad days today.

AP had his bad day against the Niner defense. Yet they still won easily because they are a GOOD team. We are not...least not when we aren't at full strength like we are right now. And by right now I mean most of the season.

We didn't make the right decision. Any person of at least average intelligence knows that. To argue otherwise is silly.

But for some reason, some folks keep arguing this issue. Maybe they just like drawing attention to themselves. Who knows.

Yes, the Cards are the stupidest team in the league, thats what Im hearing right? And the Oakland Raiders, Detroit Lions, Cleveland Browns, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Washington Redskins all get a free pass.. What a wonderful thread..

The mods should just sticky this thread so when someone wants to bitch about not picking AP, we don't get subject to a new thread every ****ing week.

Thanks for clearing this up, Mensa boy!

The cards need to learn a lesson from this though and I think that is why everyone is so pissed off. In the draft YOU HAVE TO TAKE BPA !! Look at all the great drafts DG had through this method. In Free Agency you fill the holes and in the draft you take BPA ..

Instead of taking BPA the Cards had to fill there need through the draft and to make matters worse pushed up the signing bonus and never addressed depth.

God please, I disagree on this. One freaking game where a stud goes up against a rookie and you dump on the rookie...COME ON! It is a lot harder to protect the blind side of a QB in your first year than run the rock...but you know I like ya' Bucky:)

exactly, get over it, if we had drafted AP and he was getting 50 yards a game because the o line stunk, ya'll would have been claiming that we have a good rb with no one to run behind and that we already had a capable RB. get over it. please threads just make a different board called bitch about AP. put it at the very bottom below the mercury and rattlers and let all these guys complain elsewhere.

Sorry but Brown's false start on the opening drive totally destroyed our momentum. Without that the Cards aren't passing on first down and there's no interception.

The guy has 4 false starts in the last 5 games. Our new "drive killer".

How do we know the team didn't have a pass play called on first down before the false start?

And even then, the pass play wasn't a bad decision; Patrick was wide open. The throw, however, was terrible.

There will always be debate over what pick was the right pick for us. Peterson might go on to be a great back, he might not, but either way, he was the wrong pick for the Cardinals. Peterson is excelling in Minnesota because he was the right pick for them. If you look at their running back Tandem, Chester Taylor is also averaging just under 5 yards per carry. Their system and their coach is dedicated to the run, but before they got to where they are, they built up by adding key players on the offensive line. All the talent in the world will get a back absolutely no where without the guys up front to open the holes.

Levi Brown was the most sensible pick for us and he was the guy we took. Had we taken Peterson, we would have yet another high priced, high profile skill player to add to our already talented line up, and we would still lack the offensive line to do anything with them. Levi Brown has had moments where he's looked very good, and moments where he's looked rather bad. This "up and down" style is normal for rookie linemen. The simple fact, as unpopular as it might be, is that "super star backs" are common place in the NFL. Pro Bowl running backs are traded like Pokemon cards in this league, but solid tackles are a premium no one wants to part with. Will Levi be a good tackle in the NFL? who knows? it's still too early to tell.

Even if Peterson becomes a perennial pro bowler, it doesn't necessarily mean we made the wrong choice. Put AP on the Cardinals, he averages 3 yards per carry, and everyone is crying over how we should have taken Levi Brown.

He is right.

This is just like when the Texans chose Mario Williams instead of Reggie Bush.

I mean you can't pass up an impact player like Bush for Mario Williams. Bush is a one in a lifetime player. I mean look at this year, Bust is.......well, anyway Mario Williams only has 9 ......wait, sorry I though this would be a good example.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------
AP
14 attempts, 3 yards

Get over it.

I wanted AP over Brown but you can't rip on Brwon because of this bad game. On TV the announce pretty much said that Kerney had Brwon read and that Levi was favoring the inside all the time so he wouldn't get beat that way. He said Kearney was going to take advantage of that and speed rush him all day. That's what he did. That's a vet schooling a rookie. Brown will get better. Besides that damn AP cost me a playoff game in FF. How do you run 14 times for 3 yard :bang: with a long run of 4? I was debating all morning whether to go with AP or Jamal Lewis. Of course, Lewis goes for 118 and 2 TD's :bang: :bang: :bang: . I lose by 5 points :pullhair:.

Wasn't Levi playing RT? Warner throws Rightie. That would not be his blind side. I think it is fair to say, that top ten 1st round tackles who played RT are failures at left. You don't draft RTs that high.

BPA with top ten pick should be the law.
