Temporary ban for Lakers fans?

To ban anyone for an opinion is testament to the weakness of ANY public message board. If you cannot stand the heat then close up shop. Other boards around the L have the same stupid policy of policing opinions and they are among the weakest. So go ahead and ban someone for an opposing opinion and watch your site (and it's advertising dollars) go away.

1. He wasn't banned. He had his moderator powers taken away.

2. You're a n00b and don't know anyone on here yet.

3. This site doesn't recieve advertising dollars. Go try to find an ad here. It's privately funded by 1 fan.

I wasn't posting either way, because I didn't want to be a part of what Brian is doing...which is slandering me every chance he can get today. Told me to grow up in the Suns thread yesterday, and is making me look like a super-vindictive prick today.

So fine...since I am too much pride to see and watch Brian rip me to shreds without defending myself...

Yes, I asked him Friday night to stay off the Suns forum because there were fans upset after the loss, and some got mad at him for trolling as they said. I figured it would be best for all, for Brian to find an actual "Lakers' Forum" to celebrate, not a Suns forum.

He laughed at me, so I asked again...saying PLEASE.

I'm the administrator of this forum...whether you agree or not, you should at least respect me enough to have a conversation about it. But that didn't happen. He continued to post, and did so again on Sunday after the loss.

As I asked him already, I tried to just deny him access to the forum. Since he was a moderator, I couldn't block him, so even after I posted on that thread that he was being banned from the forum, HE KEPT POSTING.

So I stripped Mod rights away, so I could at least get him off the forum.

And then, as I stepped back...I saw how little respect Brian has for myself, or those that run this place. He's a moderator and at the very least, should respect those in charge.

I honestly was trying to do the right thing. I saw enough fans cussing him out, calling him a troll, and so I asked him to just stay off it for awhile.

That's it. And he blew me off completely.

If he wants to run his own site, with his own rules...he can go do it.

Thanks Brian for bringing this all public, it was really necessary.

My last post on the Suns board was at 4:25 pm.

My mod rights were stripped away at approx. 6:55 pm.

You waited 2.5 hours to take them away. It had nothing to do with getting me off the forum.

As a matter of fact it still says this if I visit the Suns forum:
