On Thursday, the Tennessee Titans said goodbye to former starting right tackle Nicholas Petit-Frere. While this move does save them money against the salary cap, it does take an offensive tackle out of the mix for a depth role.
During the pre-draft process, the Titans have been linked to a few offensive tackle prospects and have brought some in for a Top 30 visit to the team facility. One of those is an intriguing prospect from Boston College, Ozzy Trapilo.
The 6-foot-8, 318-pound tackle is an accomplished pass protector who is best suited in a traditional dropback passing scheme. Technically refined and natural, his skills should translate to the NFL.
He can be hit or miss as a run blocker and will need to develop an aggressive streak and second-level movement skills to reach his ceiling. The traits are there for this to happen, but they need to be cultivated by NFL coaching.
Trapilo should be viewed as a mid-round tackle prospect who can come into the league as a rookie and compete for a swing tackle position with starter upside.

The Titans had a 30 visit with Boston College OT Ozzy Trapilo, per source.
One of the few true Day 2 tackles, the three-year RT starter is 70th overall on the consensus board.
This makes 26/30 Titans visits reported, which you can track here: https://t.co/A0INKg3DIgpic.twitter.com/WKJmOoKbeL
