The Tennessee Titans have been quiet over the past few days in free agency. That all changed on Thursday when a report broke that the team had added an edge rusher to their depleted unit.
According to a report from Ian Rapoport, the Titans have signed former Atlanta Falcons linebacker Lorenzo Carter.
Carter joins a unit that lacks experience, depth, and production after the release of Harold Landry before the start of free agency. The seven-year veteran is a solid addition to a defense that must improve its pass rush in 2025.
Drafted in the third round of the 2018 NFL draft by the New York Giants. In all, he spent four years in New York before signing with the Atlanta Falcons in 2021. In all, the 29-year-old has recorded 170 solo tackles, 21.5 sacks and five forced fumbles in his NFL career.
Carter will join Arden Key and newcomer Dre’Mont Jones at the top of the Titans depth chart.
