That's according to the Dallas Morning News which says he now has a a strained abdominal muscle in addition to the groin injury. Good news for the Cardinals. Also guard Kyle Kosier and safety Roy Williams are expected to miss another week.

IRVING — As if a nagging groin problem wasn’t enough, cornerback Terence Newman now has a strained abdominal muscle and may miss Sunday’s game at Arizona.

Newman underwent an MRI on Monday to examine both injuries. It’s unclear when he’ll return.

Newman missed the season opener against Cleveland because of the groin injury, which he suffered in training camp. He played the next three games, including the 26-24 loss to the Redskins, in which he struggled in coverage and gave up several plays.

this is huge

plus....Kosier out is big too. The left side of their line is too tough....we need to blow up the right side

Wouldn't it be better if he tried to play and couldn't cover?

Funny how he saw Fitz on the schedule and all of a sudden had a strained groin and abdominal muscle. :D

Newman's out...open up the passing attack. Cards better have some solid protection around Kurt....or it'll be a nightmare.

Man this is going to be a fun game!

I'm also thinking we have some devoted Cardinals cheerleader call Pacman's room the night before the game and get him in trouble.

newman missed the opening game....played a limited role in the eagles game....and vs the packers......he started vs the skins but was probably the cowboys worst player in that game from a defensive standpoint. he missed the game last week and is expected to be out for a while from what I've heard. roy williams broke his arm vs the eagles. and williams' backup is hurt too. so the cowboys are down to their 3rd SS. kyle kosier fractured his ankle in the first game. the right side of the line has been the best side for the cowboys since davis' arrival. but felix jones has blown through some gaps untouched on both sides of the line. marion barber usually has more success running right, but last week most of his big runs were on the left side? kosier is the LG btw, but so far the backup guy hasn't been talked about much. so that's a good thing. and btw adam jones has been the cowboys best DB so far this season. it hasn't come without mistakes, but he's the only guy getting his hands on the football in every game.
