GB has me worried the most. I don't think they can be stopped. period.

Not at home but have done poorly on the road. All 3 losses are on the road and were blown out in New Orleans just 3 weeks ago. Key is to make sure Cards have home field advantage throughout the playoffs.

They said that about Denver and now they've lost 2 of their last 3. Big Ben looked unstoppable for 2 weeks until he lost to the Jets. No one is unstoppable this season. No one. GB is just the flavor of the week.

I hear you but I still see Rodgers tearing it up in his first ever playoff game against the Cards and Warner. He was impressive.

Didn't we win that game though?

Yes!!!! Money Mike, after being abused all day long, got the sack/fumble on Rodgers that was returned for the winning score. Best.playoff.game.ever.

You bet we did, but he was still very impressive in his 1st playoff game. Fortunately we had Warner and we needed his magic. It was a great, great game.

The Around the NFL podcast talk about Packers in their newest podcast. Besides Patriots and Lions at home their schedule is very easy going forward. If they Can catch us and take the 1st seed and the Road to the superbowl goes through lambeau then we could be impossible to deal with as the are playing right now.

I think that's a fair picture

I'm not sure home field would necessarily be an advantage to the Packers. Rodgers is 1-2 in Green Bay in the playoffs, he is 3-2, 4-2 if you count the Super Bowl, on the road.

They rely offensively on Rodgers and they don't have a strong defense, especially against the run. Playing in 15 degree weather probably isn't in their best interest.

Green Bay has to worry about winning their division first as Detroit is still in first place with a better division record. Green Bay also needs to win three more games than the Cardinals to get home field advantage since the Cardinals have a better conference record. That means even if the Cardinals went 3-3 in the last 6 games Green Bay would have to go 6-0. Their remaining schedule is below. That goes for Detroit, Philadelphia, and Dallas too since the Cardinals beat them head to head.

NE @ GB

ATL @ GB

GB @ BUF

GB @ TB

DET @ GB

This is not the easiest schedule to go 6-0 with division games at Minn and playing Detroit and Buffalo can give Rodgers all kinds of headaches with their pass rush. Then they still have to deal with NE. Not saying the Cardinals schedule is any easier but all these teams face an uphill battle to catch the Cardinals.

Realize a Cardinal win next week and a Niner loss will give the Cardinals a 4 game lead with 5 to play in their division.

No, but they have four wins there without too much stress. They have to beat the Lions, so even if the drop to the Patriots, they are 12-4. Means we have to go 4-2 to avoid tie breaking scenarios. If we drop three more from here on out, I don't think we'd have the tie breaker... With division losses. So the goal im seeing is 4-2.

Have we ever been able to rest guys at the end of the year for the playoffs? That will feel weird would be so sweet if we don't even need to win against sea and SF the last two weeks. Would save use from a whole lot of beat down players as those would be very physical games.

F Green Bay. They've played 2 good defensive teams all year and both times scored less than 17 points.

4-2=homefield. End of Story.

3-3=homefield, if Green Bay loses one conference game, or if one of our losses is to Kansas City. (We would have the better conference record.) (Also assumes no one else runs the table.)

I know the Packers play in the cold... but man, all but the Tampa game are outside in butt cold conditions. Your fingers could fall off like Jose Canseco's :)

Quit reading my mind I was about to post the exact same thing.

So in those other team may win pretty. But bottom line is they haven't won pretty as many times as the Cardinals have won ugly

Love being in this situation talking about home field advantage, playoffs, etc... Need to take care of business Sunday in Seattle and we come out victorious, boom- we are the talk of the NFL, without a doubt! 6.5 point underdogs right now too

Niners & Seahawks dysfunctional?

Who cares who is the 'best' team? "Just win baby," in the immortal words of Al Davis.

I'm more interested in the dysfunction that appears to be infecting the Niner and Seahawk franchises at the moment. Ian Rapaport is reporting that Jim Harbaugh is unlikely to coach the Niners in 2015. And the Marshawn Lynch situation is rearing its ugly head in Seattle with reports that 'Beast Mode' and head coach Pete Carroll are not talking to each other.

I would love to see a scoreless tie on Thanksgiving Night. That would hurt both teams right? :D
