Well if Blake is someone else's trash than Denver just picked up an entire landfill filled with rotting, putird rubbage with medicl and chemical waste thrown in. The Cards should be cited for illegal dumping.

I don't think anyone is talking about "huge" upgrades at WR with Kasper and McAddley--maybe slight upgrades due to potential.

As for Blake, I don't think he's anyone's "trash." In fact, I think the Ravens would rather have signed him than seen him go. And even if that's not the case and he is the Raven's "trash," it's better trash than what we had in Arizona. There is simply no way to dispute that--take the blinders off and look at the numbers.

Dude, your bias against Jeff Blake is blinding your judgement.

A journeyman at best? Sounds more like a guy named Shane Matthews or Danny Wuerffel....Jeff Blake has actually be selected to a Pro Bowl.

Although Gilmore and McAddley may have star potential in some peoples views the facts are that both are unproven. Saying that they will be great starters is like me saying that Josh McCown is destined for the probowl. I don't know if they will be great or flops. I myself think that we need to sign or trade for at least one proven starter and draft another in the first three rounds. If Gilmore or McAddley turn out to be the players that we hope than fine but if they don't then I would sure hope that the Cards have another option in place. Right now the best receiver that I have seen including Sanders and Jenkins on the Cards has been Kevin Kasper and I hope that he is our third WR and not our #1.

I would rather have Shane Matthews than Blake. I am not sold on Blake and I don't think he is much more than a #2 backup in this league. And I think Blake will be far worse than Plummer.

HUH?

Why would you rather have Matthews? Is there any good reasoning, because I just don't see it. Matthews has had 1/10 the success that Blake has had.

Obviously, from your handle you wouldn't think Blake was an upgrade, even though he has a significant edge over Plummer in every meaningful category.

Sounds more like someone is bitter that their favorite player is no longer around. Jeff Blake has clearly had a much better career, on teams that aren't actually any better than this one. Some of the years that Blake has had, would have gotten us into the playoffs.

Snakester:

Its okay to let your buddy Jake go, it really will be alright....... Blake is twice the QB as Mathews and an upgrade over Plummer.
