Texas baseball will be out to score its seventh consecutive win when it welcomes Texas State to UFCU Disch-Falk Field on Tuesday.
The Longhorns (23-3, 8-1 SEC) most recently swept Missouri on the road to stay level with Arkansas, Georgia and Tennessee at the top of the SEC standings.
Texas State (12-15, 4-5 Sun Belt) dropped two out of three games to Coastal Carolina over the weekend. The Bobcats have played one game against SEC competition this season, grabbing a 7-3 victory over Texas A&M in College Station.
The Longhorns hold a 55-15 record in the all-time series against their neighbors to the South, but the Bobcats won two of the three games between the two programs last season.
