Nice to see Pennington as the defensive replacement at third.....

I see that Ahmed is batting 9th tonight with the pitcher Bradley 8th.

At first I thought, that makes sense with Bradley batting .167 (1/6) and Ahmed .122 (5/41).

Then I realized that Chip is probably sending a message to Ahmed, more than just demoting him.

I hope the message is, "I'm going to bat you in front of the 1-2-3 hitters instead of the pitcher. This is your chance to show me if you can hit Major League pitching."

It will probably help a little, but I don't expect that it will make him a Major League hitter.

I really believe Ahmed just wasn't ready for the bigs... If not for the fact that there were no other viable options, he would still be in Reno. Learning to hit at the major league level when you're starting is extremely difficult. It can actually put you in reverse as you develop bad habits and lose confidence.
Ahmed's pitch selection is terrible... His swing isn't that bad, however, he truly has little to no clue about being selective and plate coverage. Things he couldn't honed down in Reno...

They're calling it a "stress reaction", which is far less serious than a stress fracture.
It sounded to me like they were describing Plantar Fasciitis... Hale says it could be due to the way he runs - which is uniquely rough on his feet...

Bradley sure impressed me tonight. Again. Had major control issues to start & settled down behind some great defense. I hope our relief pitches better than last night.

Jesus he's going to Reed. At least there's already 2 outs but Reed could very well walk the bases loaded and give up a bomb. That's how little faith I have in him.
