The Texas Rangers have claimed Carlos Perez on waivers from the Atlanta Braves, the team has announced today. To make room on the 40 man roster for Perez, the Rangers have moved Elvis Andrus from the 10 day disabled list to the 60 day disabled list. The Rangers will make a 25 man roster move tomorrow, per John Blake on Twitter. Perez is out of options, as is Juan Centeno, the current Rangers backup catcher. Centeno is potentially a DFA candidate tomorrow once Perez reports, although its possible that Robinson Chirinos is banged up and needs to go on the disabled list with some ailment.
