I like this signing. Solid defender, some size, smart player. The only issue is that can't shoot. I am imaging he'll be used in small ball lineups.

He'll be taking backup center minutes I bet. He's not a great shooter, but his range is far greater than that of Eubanks.

Keep in mind that he has spent the last two years on a team that was packed in the frontcourt and most of them are much younger than Young.

When he has gotten minutes the last couple years he has produced.

I really like this acquisition. My buddy who watches him all the time said he is a stable presence. Isn’t going to give you 30 points but when he does take a shot it’s usually a good one. Most of all he can be physical night in and out.

I would really like the Suns to get a PG with the last slot. I know they are looking at Gallinari which I was all for but after getting young I hope they go PG.

Young has great Assists to turnover stats and sets good screens. And he isn't a floor spacer but I'm ok with this one I think.

I'd rather have Gallo. The Suns have been adamant they're not looking for a PG, so I'd be surprised if they changed that tack at this point.

Gallo is redundant now and yeah I heard that too but IMO they could use another ball handler now.

Redundant? With who? Durant is the only other player on the team with Gallo's length and shooting ability. Our championship hopes are dependent on players who can hit wide open 3's. Gallo is a proven 3 point threat. What other big do we have that can shoot 3's?

Gallo is going to ride the bench. I bet he won’t be part of the rotation. Those minutes are going to Royce, Thaddy, Young and Bol Bol unless he regresses.

Considering the pool we are picking from Young isn't so bad. He can distribute the ball rebound and steal.
If 16.7 is his real 3pt% he should never EVER shoot those.
He has experience and can help lead this team.

His best skill is that we can afford him.

you didn't mention one player that he's a redundancy for. Royce is 6'6, Gallo is 6'10. Thad/Bol can't shoot like him. Again, who else is he like on the Suns?

If he does we're in trouble somehow, but to be honest I didn't see Metu, Yuta or Kbd as that option either.

I like the signing more than Lopez or bringing back Biyombo. He's not a game changer but I think he's better than Eubanks is most nights. We'll see what he's got left in the tank.

We have no other big that can shoot from distance and provide length. He's a completely different player than Young.
