I am not on the board as much as I could be but AFSN is like my other family. My Football Cardinal Family. Met a few of you at away games such as BuckyBird, WisconsinCard, and so many others it has been a priviledge to be on AFSN.

Hey John, you Bucky, and Cbus are like brothers to me. So can I borrow $5 from each of you? :clapping:

We have so much fun at the road games it hard to explain to people that have never experienced it.

It would be great to have a beer with you, NJCF. I spend a week on LBI every summer. You are a great fan and valuable contributor to ASFN.
Let me know when you're there. It's a ways away from me but I'll make the drive.

There is no other Cardinals' fan board like ASFN. Not even close. I imagine that Skkorp is very proud that all of us have carried the torch. It's to the point where if a Cardinals' fan ever wanted to know up to the minute news or well-informed opinions and scouting reports...it's all right here. We are all in this together and we are a brother and sisterhood, whether we realize it or not. Yes, we get after each other from time to time, but we are getting better at generating respectful give and takes.

While I never met any of you in person, just as I never met Skkorp, I have talked with some of you over the phone and to me so many of you feel like friends. For example, every year when I go to New Jersey, I think of Jeff. When I go through Scarsdale, NY to NYC, I think of Garth. Whenever I think of Pat Tillman, I think of Dems and how much he and his legacy mean to her. Whenever I dream of finally getting rid of Directv, I think of MD and TCF. Whenever I see a tweet that is Cardinals' related, I wonder if Ronin has posted it yet. Whenever, I think of Roy Green, I think of Jetstream. Whenever I think of Joel Blaudstein and some of the all-time great evaluators, I think of Harry. Whenever I think of South Carolina, I think of Mark. Whenever I think of Pennsylvania, I think of PA. Whenever I think of the Buckeyes and a scout from JAX, I think of Cbus. Whenever I think of Stanford, UCLA and Cal, I think of Russ. Whenever I think of Nashville, I think of TJ. Whenever I find myself standing on the corner of Bullhead City, AZ, I think of BCF. Whenever I think of O.J. Howard, I think of Chopper. Whenever I think of Preston Parsons, I think of K9. Whenever I think of winning the NFC Championship, I think of Catfish and the joy we shared over the phone. Whenever I evaluate an o-lineman, I think of Gary (Snakester). Whenever I think of the recent bet I have on Andre Ellington, I think of cardncubfan. Whenever I think of Beanie Wells, I think of THESMEL. Whenever I think of making a poll, I think of SissyBoyFloiyd. Whenever I think of the coolest ASFN couple, I think of Chris and Jersey. Whenever I think of lol, I think of Jeff the Shark. Whenever I think of Mississippi, I think of oaken. Whenever I think of Carson Palmer I think of OhCrap (in a good way). Whenever I think of Branch, I think of DVontel. Whenever I think of the UK, I think of Geurnsey. TJ in Rolling Hills. Jay Cardinal in AZ. Whenever I think of Niklas, I think MrYeahBut. My pals Solar, BigRedRage, juza, LIAC, Bodha, Mainstreet, BillsCarnage, Southpaw, AZNative, daves, Vermont Maverick, Gandhi, seesred, Reign Blood and Lagerfilled. Whenever I think of mispelling a word, I think of BIM. Whenever I think of anything with two 8s in it, I think of b8rtm8n.

Thanks to Shaggy and Iceman for running the show.

I am just getting started here....and to those I haven't mentioned yet...I will keep them coming. More 1st team All-Star Birdgangers in Buckybird, Cardiac, RugbyMuffin, NJCF.

But to everyone -- thank you! Every one of us matters.

Mitch you're doing WAY too much thinking...:)

As a long time Cardinal fan growing up in Texas, my love for my team and the ability to share opinions on them was something I never had. I was just thinking about the draft alone and how it becomes much more due to all of you guys on here. Before ASFN, I might as well been a Cowboy fan talking about football which amounts to talking to a post... except they are talking to other Cowboy fans and I was alone lol

I'm with you. I left Arizona for VA after the '92 season. Back then it was a real pain to follow this franchise. Virtually no notes in the local papers, unless it was one of the two weeks we played DC.

I almost abandoned the team in 94 when we hired Buddy, and the Panthers had just been awarded a new franchise. Carolina didn't play that year, and we ended up with a pretty talented defense, so I hung around. As the team fell apart in in 95, I had discovered the ability to converse (perhaps commiserate is a better word here) with other Cardinal fans across the country on my old dial-up account.

There are still a few familiar names in here from that old Cards Corner site. It's been a long time with some of y'all in these parts. More surprising with how many we've lost along the way.

Anyway, as I say every year, it looks like this season really could be our year.

Go Cards!!!

As Falls Wichita, So Falls Wichita Falls...one of my all-time favorite albums by Pat Metheny. You're so right, blindseyed! "I might as well face it, I'm addicted to ASFN!"
Lol nice Robert Palmer reference there

I remember the 1st one from the board I met was Justdvl, he came and picked me up and we went to a draft party in Phoenix way back in 2004, what a great time he was a genuinely nice guy he passed way to young. Got to meet Jersey and Chris at the Big Red Rage in Chandler, hanging out every Thursday (Wed on away games lol) and more posters there. For all of you out of towers, it still feels like you're all here in AZ, I've never seen another message board that has this kind of camaraderie and also the way newbies are welcomed is just awesome. Thanx to Skkorp, he'd be proud. Thanx Shaggy for keeping this crazy, sometimes mental, group of fans connected!
