Thank You Cards For Making It An Embarrassment To Be A Card Fan Again

After making us follow the carrot on the stick with the 2007-09 seasons the organization has once again drifted into laughing stock territory. All the respect we got coming within a whisker of a world championship has been spent. The same ol' Cards are now alive and well and we are back to being the most pathetic franchise in all of sports. Not so long ago I used to be able to venture out into my South Jersey area wearing my Cardinal gear with pride. Now it's back to the snickers and pointing and the ribbing I take at work. 38 seasons as a Card fan has been an exercise in masochism. The only team I root for without a championship in my lifetime and as with a lot of Cubs fans, I don't think it's ever going to happen unless a new ownership group can buy this team because as long as the name Bidwill is attached to this team, it will continue to be a laughing stock. I'm not the type to bail on a team but this team is making it harder and harder to root for. You guys who have season tickets should sue fir fraud.

I think it takes better fans to follow crappy clubs, the fair weathers get weeded out and all. The only thing I got going for me this season is that #1, Eagle fans don't have a thing to say and #2, one of our 4 wins came against them so i'm safe in that manner.

I'm not embarrassed but I'm not proud of my team either, it'd be nice to be and was for a while nice to be proud of them.

The pity gets old.

The strange looks get old.

The chuckles get old.

They need to hire a GM and stop mucking with it, the Packers are owned by some ownership group including the fans and they have a GM and they are a winning franchise.

Our owners can't stop making decisions and the results are out there on the field and have been for decades but they can't resist the temptation to make the calls.

I think a trained Chicken would make better decisions.

NJ, it's worse for us. When you're a loner in a sea of Green, a loss like this is devastating. Eagles fans were in it with me when we were both stinking it up. Now that they have won, and we get destroyed, Ive been deluged with calls, texts, and voicemails asking what the hell happened. I can't wear anything Cards out. Just want this week to be over.
