Whiz deserves a slice of that pie too, he's the head coach and I am sure he had some say in how we pussyfooted our way out of that game.

Whisenhunt did dictate what the defensive scheme was going to be so it is very possible he dictated what he expected on that last series as well. We will never know.

Inexcusable to me calling off the dogs like that after it was so effective all night long. This is what the NFL has become however.

I swear I am so tempted to go get all of my kids Cardinal gear right now and go burn it. I am gonna turn them into Patriot fans or something. I feel terrible that I ever introduced them to this. Its like handing your son a crack pipe.

Golic pointed out that the Cards didn't really back off on the last drive...They were still bringing pressure...but, after the Smith run, it was over.

I couldn't agree more. I guess if you're a fan of this team, as soon as the other team has the ball with a minute or two left you begin to think about the scenario's for them losing. Watching Green roll over that fumble was bad enough but how do you let the guy get open ACROSS THE MIDDLE at that crucial point in the game?

I am more down and dejected right now then I was after the Bears game last year. The delusion of the "new Cardinals" has been dissipated after 1 game.

We did try blitzes on that last drive BUT....

what killed us was the first two plays of that drive where we played deep, soft zones and didn't blitz. The Niners got the ball to midfield easily, and got the momentum you needed.

I'm EXTREMELY disappointed in the staff. I want a "step on their throats" mentality, and we tried to play it safe. That never works for us.

Um, Clancy called a great game outside the last four minutes when he tucked it between his legs, put on a dress and called terrible plays.

AJ, they didn't seem like the hyper aggressive blitzes of the rest of the game though. To me they were either half assed on the field or a more passive type blitz or something. There seemed to be a lack of intensity on the blitzes on that last drive.

Green falls on the g-damn ball, and we are all singing Clancy's praises.
Defense played lights out.. Direct your anger at the multiple false starts and overall crappy offense.

The whole team deserves our anger. The game was put in the D's hands, and they blew it.

be warned... you will be called a prick and the classic "we dont need you" & "dont let the door hit you on the way out" but in the end it would be a good decision if you enjoy watching good games on Sunday make the switch.

To say Clancy called a good game for 58 minutes is like saying the Titanic had a good first leg of the journey.

If he is gonna take that attitude then he deserves to be with a team like the Pats. Let him go. Life isn't for the timid. Sack up and show up next week dude. Its the Cards. AND GOD FRIGGIN HELP ME ITS CARDS OR DIE!

Damn I'll be angry the next 5 days till we play the seahags. I hate losing to the whiners!!!

Meh, 9ers had to end the streak sooner or later. We won the first game last year and look where that got us. At least this one was on the road, and we taught other teams how to beat the douches.

Going off on Clancy after the horrible game played by the offense and special teams is comical. If a team can't win a game after the defense gives up just one legitimate offensive touchdown all night, there isn't a problem with the defense or the defensive coordinator IMO. But there is a problem with the highly-compensated and under performing offense. Outside of James, this was a very poor performance by the skill players on that side of the ball.

That "drive" to start the second half was one of the most pathetic efforts in futility by an NFL franchise.

15 more games. We need to win this sunday or we will be playing catch up all over again.
