Vegas, baby, yeah!
Voice is shot - still tired from the late flight back from PHX to SAN - wouldn't have traded it for anything in the world! What a great game, terrific ending, GO CARDS!

Thanks Donald for the red mega phone idea; it definitely helped create more noise.

 Awesome! I'm glad you got one! Spread the word...they are cheap as hell...bring some extras and hand them out. They amplify your yell at least 3 or 4 times...

The seahawks fans right in front of me (the only ones down low I actually saw) were lucky enough to get an earful from mine right by their heads. They were cool about it though...just smiled weakly realizing they probably shouldn't have purchased tickets in the endzone 4th row on the road.

KOC woulda been proud!

Alexander said the crowd at University of Phoenix Stadium was loud, affecting his ability to hear what was or wasn't being called. Nevertheless, he gave credit to Hayes and tried to explain what happened.
"We all thought it was a running play until I saw that guy come through and I thought 'Maybe I missed a call,' " Alexander said.
"I don't know what happened after that."

Its amazing to me that someone could sit there, see the effect crowd noise has on the opponent & yet not join in to help pick it up a notch.

Aw shucks. It was just another game. As a professional fan, you know you have to execute, so you suck it up and just ice-down your throat (very cold liquids work best) after.

Going to a Cubs game sucks at anytime. You should go see the World Series winning team that resides in Chicago.

no way would I ever choose to sit in a cement jungle like Comiskey over the friendly confines of Wrigley Field! I don't care if you love or hate the Cubs, going to Wrigley is a trip in of itself, like being in a time warp. Can't wait.

Good Seattle paper article with props to the AZ fans.

i don't really like this article. It's the classic "we gave the game away, we lost, they didn't win" nonsense.

After the swooning, wailing and giggling abated in University of Phoenix Stadium, the Cardinals had a 23-20 triumph they had no business having, and the Seahawks had a defeat that felt like six.

And this is how it ends:

This one was as inexcusable as it was incomprehensible.

You lost 2 in a row to the Cards, Seahawks. GET USED TO IT. No more automatic wins you feel put out having to play, ever again.

Hasselbeck in the postgame said it was loud and that made it difficult.

I sent an email to the columnist pointing out that the Cards were not in FG range after the fumble and ran the ball down their throats to get in range. That was NOT a fluke.

Funny how something that happens to us 3 times a year is (by their reaction) as common as being hit by an asteroid to normaly winning teams.

I sent him a nice note expressing exactly that.

I wanted to say that was a good article...I've seen it a million times as a Cards fan though. When Branch mentioned Karma, I thought "I hope he's right, because the football Gods have a large, overdue bill to cash in for the Cards."

Just last year with Rackers missed kicks, the Rams fumble, false starts that ran out the clock, the Monday Night Debacle that led to Denny's famous rant, etc. Last week with the Niners fumble in the endzone that Eric Green fell over, not on. The countless crazy losses dating back decades. Cards fans have seen it all.

If Karma owed a sucker punch to the Seahawks, there was no better recipient of the good fortune than the Cards. We've been inventing new and clever ways to lose games for a while now; it's about time we see someone else do it. :)

-Donald (one of the 63K loud on Sunday)

Yes, I know the false start runnoff was two years ago, not last year.

We tailgated in the West Preferred lot. It was fine! Tons of shade tents. We were pretty close to the Great Lawn area and of course, that area was rocking big time!

And yes, security came by twice and told us we had to move our tent as we were taking a space that was behind our car with the tent. However, we debated for a while as there were tons of parking spaces still left. Even at 12:25pm (the 2nd time they came by), there were still a ton of spaces avaiblable... So - we never changed a thing!

THIS ONE IS FOR YOU KOC. TIM WE DID IT.
I was screaming at sec 406 gettin everyone up on their feet chanting "Who's house?? OUR HOUSE" Man we were the loudest I have ever heard. I got 3 hours of sleep and very hungover but got up with a smile on my face and strolled in to work glowing. I love the feeling of winning especially in OUR HOUSE. Great job to everyone at the game, that was simply AWESOME!!

Viva Las Vegas!
Even the Quiet Zone (the Club Section) was rockin' yesterday. My ears were ringing when the game was over.

It took me close to seven hours to get home to Vegas last night. There was a horrible accident just south of I-40 that happened almost in front of us. A lot of people got out of their cars and were milling about as we sat for 3 hours waiting for a lane to be cleared, and I was surprised to see the number of Cardinal jerseys in the crowd.

Of course, everyone was very somber because of the accident, but some of the people I spoke with could barely talk because of all the yelling at the game.

My prayers go out to the people involved in the crash, and I hope that no one in our ASFN family was involved in it.

Look opposing fans. You can come into our stadium and root for your team, but don't start any of that chant crap. Not in our stadium.

That's what I'm talkin about 40. I live by that credo! These opposing fans still seem to think that they're at Sun Devil where they can have their way with us. Not happenin these days!
