As a Rams fan I find this post hilarious. Please do fire Kingsbury! :D:D That would be one of the dumber moves you could do! Smh

But everybody is entitled to their wrong opinion.
My friend who is a Rams fan hopes the Cardinals fire Kingsbury so that McVay can hire him as his offensive coordinator. That would be a sick combo.

If you look at the stretch from 87 to 97 and then from 99 to 07, it is clear why some of us, especially long time season ticket holders, have never been that down on Kingsbury. Even Kliffs first season, there were FOURTEEN seasons in Arizona when the team had a worse record than that!
Even after last years collapse, what I saw was improvement from 2019 to 2020. I've never really been that down on Kliff, except for during the Jacksonville game where I wondered if he was going to squander away a good start to the season.

His method is working. Last year Brian Flores was the talk of the NFL, now the talk coming out of Miami is that the team is tuning him out, he isn't approachable and is your typical Belichickian coach that players don't like. As much as fans here have talked about Kingsbury being "coach bro", his methods will work better with the younger generation. I think last year there were negative influencers (Peterson) and non-influencers (Fitzgerald) were a drag on the team when player leadership was needed. What were seeing this year is a more talented, more led team.

NFL coaching is hard

is Andy Reid a good coach? I think six weeks ago, nearly all of us would put him in the top 3 right now. Yet the Chiefs look lost -- even the offense has been hit or miss.

I think John Harbaugh is an outstanding coach. Ravens have been so up and down this year.

Doug Pederson won a Superbowl with Nick Foles (!!!!) -- he got fired two years later.

Football is a game that is driven largely by talent and especially on the line of scrimmage. Once you start losing in the trenches there isn't much any coach can do. The teams that find a way to stay at or near the top of the league on a consistent basis tend to do a good job of keeping talent on their offensive and defensive lines.

Of course not all coaches could get the very best out of a talented roster, but I don't know if there is a coach in the NFL that could achieve much of anything with an untalented roster.

He's not first already? Fire him!!

Before the season this forum was replete with claims that Keim had put together an old, injury-prone, and slow lineup.

Both he and KK were probably gone after the season, and we'd finally get a 'real' GM, H-C, and D-C.

Now... the growing theme is that unless KK runs the table, wins a S-B... he's a bum! ;)

Reminds me of when my Rams fan buddy said before the season "As long as Fisher is still our coach, I'll be happy." Then I said "So will I." Then the Rams proceeded to go 7 and 9 then 4 and 12 the next two seasons.

Shows how winning cures everything. Last year, people in the media were nominating Flores for coach of the year, talking about the culture he's building, nary a word about anything negative.

If the Cardinals were 1 and 5, coach bro would be coach gotta-go.

Yup. Lots of morons on this board. They’ve been trying to get rid of Keim for years too lol.

I mean....some of us disputed this claim.

Some of us saw the mix of young talent with an infusion of veteran leaders. Led by a QB with transcendent talent. Yeah that's a team thats going to suck.

I just couldn't wrap my head around how an 8-8 with a young ascending QB and a good infusion of talent in the offseason was going to get worse. It didn't make sense to me.

I though at minimum they would win 1-2 more games.

I don’t think many thought the team would suck. I think rather they saw a more difficult schedule and thought the moves wouldn’t move the needle with a coach who hadn’t proven to be special.

I’m pretty sure I’m a regular target of these types of posts as a darksider and I predicted 8-10 wins. So hardly saying we would suck.

Considering you predicted 7-11 wins and they won 8 games I don’t think you can say the bolded when you literally thought the “minimum” could be winning a game less.

Just keeping you honest. ;)

Naw the minimum was substantial injuries, like Murray going down for half the season.

That's why I chose not to go with a single prediction. There are too many variables.

I don’t recall you ever making that caveat. And minimum is minimum brotha!

You’re 100% right and what I feel would eventually happen if this does come to fruition. McVay tried to get Kingsbury on the staff with Texas Tech fired him.

lol ya'll aren't going to let this man live this down are you?
I made a policy this season to not post or read the boars during the games and this is exactly why! Too many knee jerk reactions to individual plays.

But of all the posters here, TJ can take it and probably enjoys being wrong.

If you are constantly under the shadow of your stud QB, this win against a divisional foe without your top offensive pieces (QB, WRs, OL) pays dividends for the coach and his reputation. Excellent all the way around. Crazy how less than a year ago I would say 90% of the board was clamoring for both Vance and KK to get fired (myself included). One of the best 180s I've seen.
