The fumble a couple of plays previously was a killer, too. Josh may have been able to score on that play if he hadn't been carrying the ball like the proverbial loaf of bread.

that our final remembrance of Josh is two fumbles inside the 5 yard line with the game on the line.

IMO, the red zone offense (or lack thereof) is the number one issue this team needs to address in the offseason. Look at the stats of this game, excluding turnovers, and you'd swear we won the game. Unbelievable to waste such a great effort.

looked like the line got a push then stopped and didnt even try to go forward like they were pass blocking. either way im ok with all the calls in the redzone of running the ball. we have to be able to get 3 yards in the nfl to win

I noticed also how the o-line was kind of pass protecting while Josh was going forward. Which leads me to believe he pulled a 'Manning' - he ran it in on his own. That's why he ran over to the QB coach and hugged him and they were both laughing.

It was in the newspaper stories here today. The options were a slant to Boldin and a fade to Fitz. Both were doubled, so McCown decided to run it.

I'll have to watch the play again but it looked to me like McCown took one step back and then ran up the middle. Didn't appear to me that he even made an attempt to look for a receiver so how would he know they were covered?

Oh well at least my preseason prediction of 5-11 was on the money.

So he did just take off without looking at the receivers. He's running a QB sneak with the Oline pass blocking. No wonder it looked like a designed QB draw.
