Willis definately had an off day today. His fastball is sneaky quick, however i wasnt that impressed with his slider today, even before the delay. I was still impressed with his attitude though, he didnt get down on himself. I dont wish the guy to fail but maybe the media will realize what Webb is doing

I hope both kids are for "real". It's good for baseball, especially since one of them is on the Dbacks.

Well, Brandon Webb gave up 2 runs in 6 innings, Dontrelle Willis gave up 6 runs in 2 innings. Quite a difference. Webby certainly pitched good enough to win.

yes, i agree. we need a lefty reliever, a right feilder who can hit. i'm so sick and tired of watching us swing against idiotic padre pitching, and hit everything but the ball. oh, and we need a portable firing squad for mike myers the biggest idiot of them all.

um, 2 runs in a game is generally considered to be ace-calibre. that doesn't sound like he got figured out.

Brandon certainly pitched well enough to win.... but neither Curt nor Randy with their best games are going to win when the team scores zero runs.

In "some" defense of Willis' poor outing against the Cubs, consider that he was great before the rain delay... and was wretched AFTER the hour + rain delay. He may be one of the many pitchers that shouldn't pitch after delays.
