Quantitatively evaluating Boldin trade offers ignores possible psychological ramifications like "are we better served having a happier locker room?" No easy answer.

If Boldin was a problem in the locker room then that might come into play, but all indications, and references have said he is anything but.

I took it the other way. Boldin is very much liked and respected in our locker room. Is trading him away going to have a negative effect?

Locker rooms are full of guys with contract issues, wife and girlfriend problems, etc, etc...

The golden rule, if you want to maintain your respect in the room, is that they are not discussed on company time.

To think that Q's contract is going to somehow be more disruptive is just silly...IMO.
Iirc, this statement is coming from one whom has made a living as a hockey player. The sport may be different but the locker room protocol likely the same.

Contrary to pop phylosophy, past behavior is not always a good predictor of the future.

Grrr. For the record, I had posted I thought Boldin would not be traded and that would be bad for both parties. I stand by that opinion still.

Jets | Still interested in Boldin
Wed, 22 Apr 2009 08:09:25 -0700

Rich Cimini, of the New York Daily News, reports the New York Jets remain interested in trading for Arizona Cardinals WR Anquan Boldin.

Is the #17 good enough for Boldin????

17th plus Alan Fanica. Now that would really help our running game.

the 17th pick and Leon Wahington would have to be worth considering. That could be had because,in Baltimore, they were based solely on defense and a power running game. When Ryan was with the Ravens,i don't think they ever had RB utilized in the role Washington would have to be used. They have always had mashers like Jamaal Lewis and Leron McClain carrying the load. McGahee isn't a scat back/Leon Washington type either.

I wish Leon Washington wasn't 27 (Will be going into training camp). I thought he was like 25.

I like the Jets pick at #17 plus a draft pick not a player, I would take a 4th rounder. I would do this trade on draft day to see if the top 2 rbs are still on the board.

I don't want Ron Brown unless their lower 2nd round is also thrown in. (#44)

Not me.

There has to be something else to make the "points" work. A 2nd round pick could make it happen.

EDIT: Miami is willing to deal Ronnie Brown accoring NFL Network

This tells me that they are targeting Pat White for the Wildcat.
