I don't know if this made national news or not but during the week Deebo Samuel made some online comments that people took as rips at his coach and Qb. Love the guy but man did he choke tonight potential go ahead TD pass right in his hands in stride and he drops it. He's getting ripped by the 49er fans now, all over my FB feed. 3 drops tonight including the game losing one.

I said it a couple of years ago the 49ers were playing contract hardball with him and I thought it was totally unfair because they used him so much as a RB and even a kick returner now and then that they were shortening his career and should pay him accordingly. I think the last 2 years were what I was talking about.

In not sure what all that has to do with him dropping all those balls?

I love, let me repeat, LOVE the dumpster fire that the world beating 49ers have become. Purdy and his WR looked atrocious. They have some hard decisions looming regarding CMC and his injury history and whether or not to back up the QB brinks truck. LB's quitting mid game. Good times in the bay!

Saw another tweet where they are deciding what to do to get rid of him... cut, release, suspension, whatever.
IMO, actions like his demand harsh penalties. Dude took a roster spot from a guy that really wants to play.

I think they should suspend him for the remainder of his contract... or put him on the non football injury list(mental health)..
Something that keeps him from being able to just go sign with another team.
It would be the pinnacle of all that's wrong if this guy pulls this crap then goes and signs as a backup somewhere and ends up getting a ring out of it.

To be fair both offenses were atrocious in the pouring rain. That is not a reflection of either teams quarterback or receivers, which are better than ours.

It makes him look very bad for complaining and then choking.

THe other part is my belief that the reason Deebo is missing games the last few years is they overused him in the contract year and even a kid as jacked as him couldn't handle that much contact.

I think his complaints now are a direct result of that he realizes his career is going to be shorter and he's mad

Yup. A year ago I was laughing at everyone trying to anoint Brock Purdy as the next Joe Montana. Now he looks exactly like I thought. Average at best. All a product of the system or players around him.

Oh don’t worry there are still plenty of people on this board that believe in him.

Many of those same people would love to trade K1 for Purdy.

I still like the guy but the thing for me is he came back from elbow surgery and they said his arm is stronger than ever, had a great year, and then this year his arm looks nowhere near as strong.

I really wonder if because of the elbow surgery he got some sympathetic injury that is bothering him now.

He's had WR and TE injuries and of course they lost the RB's, but it just seems to me like he doesn't have as much zip on the ball and for a guy who never had a great arm, losing just a little off his fastball is enough.

I can agree with that. Niners still haven't been up to snuff this season largely, thus my origin of overall satisfaction.

They still draft well so they will be lurking for the foreseeable future but they’re toast as contenders. Purdy gets a significant raise next year whether he’s extended or not. CMC, Deebo are washed and Trent Williams is 37 next year. Shanahan will have to figure out a way to create a top-10 offense.
