I can't wait till the new Stadium opens! So many people said it couldn't be done. Hosting the Superbowl in 2008 makes all the nay sayers look like foolish.

is the crowd on azcentral still saying the stadium will not get built? I know a few months ago they had some secret knowledge of something that would derail the whole thing. It was actually good comedy....

I think for the 96 Superbowl, they had a lottery for 1000 pairs of tickets (2000 tickets). If you won, you bought them for face.

They put 1 entry for each ticket for each year you have been a season ticket holder into a bowl and then drew names. Winners got 1 pair of tickets each.

Since I'll be 19 year season ticket holder by then, that's 38 chances to win!

That all sounds right, though I don't recall how many pairs of tickets were distributed that way. Face value of an upper deck, north end zone seat was $200.

Its a beautiful thing!!!
It would be really great to go to the game. But let me tell you, my 78-year old dad and I got to go to San Diego this past January and go to the Superbowl. It was terrific, but the game was only one part of it. All the festivities, the NFL Experience, and all the associated events made the whole experience a phenominal time for us. One I will never forget. Even if I don't get to go to the game in 2008, all the associated stuff is a football fan's dream.

BTW, I second the motion that the Cards put together a team that makes it that year! Wouldn't that be a gas??!!?? It would also increase season ticket holder's chances to nab tickets!!!

WWHHHHOOOOOOOOHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!

me too-

even tho I didn't get a ticket to the game I went to all the festivities and it was wonderful, many of our players were around to meet and talk to. Larry Centers signed my shirt at one. I loved every moment with all the hot air balloons etc.

cool to see that some folks like it - the company i work for fabricated lots of truss, ramps, rotating graphics panels, and more for the event. A couple of our project coordinators spend a month putting it all together on site, then they watch the game on tv like the rest of us. I think our company got 2 tickets, which were then given to a client.
