The 2011-12 Los Angeles Lakers thread

No Finals this year, so the thread starts early.

Lots of moves need to be done, IMHO.

Cannot try and make another run with THIS team.

So who leaves: Bynum?Gasol? Artest? Odom? Possibly Kobe?

With Phil gone, all bets are off

Might as well go start a 2012-2013 Los Angeles Lakers thread right now BIM.. Cuz if you hire Mike Brown, this season is already over.. Then the Lakers will prolly fire Brown..

No real coach wants to be the first to "fill the shoes" of the legend like Phil. There is way too much pressure to succeed and maintain a level of dominance, discipline and leadership.

Not sure how much real interest there was for the Lakers job, but if they had to settle for Brown, apparently it was lukewarm at best.

Nonetheless, Lakers are still a playoff team. Championship contender? Not anymore, IMO.

i like the two PGs...for second rounders.

The second guy has ridiculous range.

Fish is dead man walking...

Mike Brown's coaching staff: Chuck Person, Quin Snyder, and John Kuester.

Do the new dudes show a lot of Caracter?

Actually, Darius Morris is exciting me - he's a pure pass first point guard with great court vision. He won't be any chris paul, but it will be nice to have a PG with court vision again.

I'm excited to see him get some burn whenever the NBA is back from its hissy fit.
