Either way, I like the pick. I hate that we gave up our 4th rd pick to move up for him but after losing Mathews we needed a RB and I think Gordon's pretty good. Chargers holes begin on the OL though, I hope we address that on day 2 and 3. Desperately need tackle so we can move Fluker inside.

His injury issues are a big time concern. Here's his strengths and weaknesses:

Fast for an offensive lineman
Quick feet
Ability to kick slide
Adjusts to the inside
Capable run-blocker
Functional strength
Gets movement in the ground game
Fires to the second level
Ability to stay on his feet
Good size, length
Ability to sustain blocks
Mobility for zone scheme
Strength for man scheme
Lots of upside

Weaknesses:
Durability issues
Consistently injured
Inconsistent play at times
Prone to leg, knee injuries
Hand placement
Not as experienced as typical prospects
Raw
Can he maintain weight?

If he can stay healthy this is a good pick for insurance if a starting OT gets hurt, you have a 1st rounder to plug in.

I agree, because not only could they have acquired some extra picks, they would have prevented a division foe from picking up a coveted player.
Granted Pitt could still have taken Ray but I'm sure the Cincy OT would still have been on the board at 24
