Our 3rd pick brings our draft up to C+ in my opinion. Last two picks were needs, but thought both were reaches and we could have traded back and still got both.

We have back to back 5th round picks.

David Johnson:

STRENGTHS: Stout runner with strong, decisive strides as an athlete, forcing defenders to bring their big boy pants to bring him down. Looks more like a linebacker than a running back with thick build and imposing muscle tone from head to toe.
Johnson only has one gear, but he has good giddy-up and won't slow down easily through the line of scrimmage and at the second level. His best quality is his receiving ability, displaying smooth body control, soft hands and vision after the catch to create.

Dj caught the ball for 200 yards against Iowa. Damn! Heard he tested phenomenally at the combine.

Again I thought we would have wanted more of a bruiser RB to pick up the short yardage. We already have a pass catching RB in Ellington. Sounds like we still aren't going to be devoted to the run.

ESPN giving David Johnson some love. A receiver turned into a running back still developing his instincts at this position.

This... Idk what everyone sees in Johnson but he doesn't run anyone over... Sure he can catch the ball but last time I checked so can Ellington so y would you draft the same idea of a player we have?

David Johnson is a great pick. Another very high character guy. Very coachable. Has all the tools to be a feature back in this league.
