If the Suns want to make a trade near the trade deadline, Nikola Mirotic will be available January 15th.

Mirotic still wants to be traded.

Maybe he can be had for a first round pick. His salary this year and next is $12,500,000.

I'm 100% out on Mirotic.

He eats mayo and jelly sandwiches. An unpardonable sin.

I prefer Brandon Knight to mayonnaise.

But I digress...

A little worried about Mirotic blocking Chriss and/or Bender's development, but we sure could use his shooting.

This is what I was thinking as well... Mirotic could help the Suns shooting.

As the February 8th trade deadline nears, there will be rumors of who is available. I'm having trouble coming up with a name as well but I bet someone of interest pops up.

Also there might be some lesser known players available sort of like Troy Daniels.

I keep hoping Anthony Davis will demand a trade.

And unfortunately, there is no kicking in basketball. Well, that is unless you are Draymond Green.

Well there is kicking and then there is kicking. Watch Steve Nash kick the ball in the basket.

D'Antoni was so excited.

Lavar Ball is saying Luke Walton has lost the Lakers. Certainly not a fan of Lonzo's father but he has a point as the Lakers are 1-9 in their last 10 games.

It's especially relevant because the Lakers have no reason to be bad because they do not own their first round pick in this draft.

If the Lakers would trade with the Suns, I'm interested in Zubac and Randle.

It's going to make me sick if the Celtics draft in the top 5 again.

Lavar Ball's criticism of Luke Walton came with the assessment that the Lakers are "a good team." Lakers are a lot of things: Young, promising, etc. Good is a word no NBA scout would describe them as right now.

I like Mirotic a lot, but I don't see where he fits in. Chriss and Bender at 4, Warren and Jackson at 3. Where does he play?
Question. Are Chriss, Bender or Jackson expected -- expected -- to be so good that we wouldn't consider moving any of them for a Forward who would fit a need?

I'm not suggesting to move any of them, but to not consider any of the three irreplaceable as our Power Forward or Small Forward of the future.

I left out Warren because he is our only scorer beside Booker on the team and you don't give away a 19 ppg Small Forward. Especially when our next highest scorer is Monroe at 11.5 and he plays only to rest Chandler in back-to-back games.

It is amazing that Booker and Warren average as much as they do with not one other scorer on the team. 11.5? That is pathetic in the NBA.

Agree BC. Always have to leave the door open.

Assuming he clears waivers today, the Lakers are strong front-runners to sign forward Jamil Wilson to a 10-day contract, league sources tell ESPN.

I think its fair to say that we should be willing to upgrade at the 4 if we have opportunity. That is always a possibility. I just don't see Mirotic's potential as any greater than Chriss or Bender. Sometimes, a logjam at a position means you don't end up developing ANYONE well.

Eventually, I believe, we will have two big decisions. Warren or Jackson and Chriss or Bender. If Bender can play center, then maybe Chriss and Bender together, but one of the two would have to rebound better for that to work.
