It's hard to have that deep of a team building through the draft. Granted salaries may start off smaller, but no one takes discounts like the teams get in the top markets.

It's hard for a team to get the right combination of players in the draft to win a championship Most recently the Warriors have probably done the best.

The Nuggets drafted Jokic and Murray; 76ers drafted Simmons and Embiid; Portland drafted Lillard and McCollum; Warriors drafted Curry, Thompson and Draymond Green.

I'm sure I've missed some drafted combinations.

It usually takes two elite players and something more to win a championship.

I think there needs to be an asterisk next to that one. Anytime you fire your coach presumably for not getting you to where you thought in the playoffs, players allegedly being just for themselves, etc., I would have picked a different guy.

I guess getting Kawhi Leonard and Paul George in the off season gets you somewhere even though the Clippers fell short of expectations.

I'm so tired of Dwight Howard of the Lakers. It may be time for NBA teams to bring back an enforcer.

Howard should have been ejected after hitting Butler in the head.

It wasn't even a close call but they call it a flagrant 1.
