Clippers dominating the entire game against the Warriors.

Curry is a great shooter but he’s not a guy that can carry a team.

I’m glad we didn’t end up with DLo.
Curry is a great passer too but I feel like has has forgotten his way over the years as the Warriors became an embarrassment of riches.

He can't go 1 on 5 no. Clips look really good, much better than last year and they were good then. Warriors are down several guys and even lost Draymond for a bit last night with that weird right elbow injury. Looks like their goal this year will be to make the playoffs not the finals.

I had to laugh at Beverly talking smack to Curry in the first half after blocking his shot, Curry had literally split 2 defenders(including beverly) and then was shooting over a 3rd defender and Beverley came from behind and blocked it. It was a great hustle play yes but it's not like he locked him up 1 on 1 and blocked his shot it was 5 on 1 at the time because Russell was on the bench.

Tough debut for Jordan Poole, 2-13. Jacob Evans also found out in the first half guarding Lou Williams is not easy, got schooled repeatedly including falling for an upfake and giving him 3 FT's. I don't know why but for some reason Lou doesn't bother me anywhere near as much as Harden does with all the stuff to draw fouls, love to watch that guy play.

When you consider they're going to get PG back later too, the Clips are going to be something to watch

This year its pretty obvious his role is to score until something changes, and I don't really know what that is if Klay is going to miss the regular season.

The Clips were literally picking up Steph in the backcourt because of this, the Warriors didn't even bother they just started having Russell or Draymond bring the ball up so Steph could at least get into the frontcourt without having to beat 1 to 2 defenders. It's going to be a very trying year for Steph, he may lead the NBA in scoring now that Harden has to fight Westbrook for the ball, but I suspect Steph will be far less efficient this year just because of how much defensive pressure he's going to see.

I read something about how the Warriors may be looking to tank this year if things don't look good around the turn of the year. Curry and Draymond have been playing a ton of basketball lately with all of their finals trips and they can sit them if things are rough so they can save face and also add a lottery pick. That might also allow Russell to get his numbers up so they can deal him at the deadline for maximum value. Their goal would be to add a lottery pick, preferably a high one, to go with their big 3, which will be back and healthy next year. The person who wrote the piece said something about if Kerr leaves for any reason then look for an "injury" to come to Steph at any time. It all depends on if Kerr is back to 100% as well, since he was battling his own health issues for a while.

Yeah, I don't think Curry is the problem. They lost a lot of depth, and there is nothing for Curry to carry. If they had Livingston and Iggy of three or four years ago, they would be just fine. They are also missing Thompson, who is an outstanding two-way player. Glenn Robinson (No, not the good one- his kid) is their starting SF, and the rest of the rotation consists of players who shouldn't be in the NBA. Looney could probably be a good backup, but the rest of them don't even belong in the NBA. It's like the Suns roster last year once you go beyond Curry, Green, and Russell.

I'd go to war with Stephen Curry so I think you are right, the Warriors do not have enough talent around him that he can carry.

Of course it's only one game. If the Warrior can figure it out, Curry will carry the team.

Curry still has Green and DLo, aren’t they all stars too? You’re guys are talking like Curry is the ONLY guy with nba talent on that roster. It’s early though and the clippers are so darn good.

Outside of Curry, Green, and Russell they lack real NBA talent. Seriously, look at their roster. They're incredibly thin. I wouldn't swap last year's Suns with who they have outside of Curry, Russell, and Russell even if we would keep Ayton, Booker, Bridges, and Oubre.

Looney is probably the only guy who might be a rotation player somewhere else but that's it. They can't even make a starting 5 with who they have right now.

Here's a look at their roster and how many minutes they played....

I'm only familiar with Chriss, Spellman, Robinson, and Looney.

I guess you never know but I can't see Kerr or Curry or Draymond willing to do that. But you can certainly make the argument they get to keep a protected 1st rounder and get a good player that way.

There's also rumors in the Bay area that Iggy will somehow end up back on the Warriors I just doubt that I think if anything it'd be the Clips for him although they don't really need him.

Draymond hurt his elbow setting a screen last night, the arm just went dead they took him to the back. He came back in with the arm wrapped and you could see him wincing and shaking it. Hopefully that's not serious. For a mediocre shooter though his shot was noticeably worse after he got hurt so something was definitely wrong.

Robinson was badly overmatched last night against Kawhi, to be fair who isn't but it was pretty apparent. Spellman's a decent guy but he should not be playing nearly as much as he did last night. Looney missed the whole preseason and camp with a hammy and you could see he did't have his legs at all, he did make a 3 but he's clearly not in shape yet. I was surprised Chriss didn't play more he looked ok when he was in. I like Paschall but we're talking a 9th or 10th guy but he's 2nd on the team in minutes last night.

They are better than the Clips made them look but they're not even close to past years they lost a clear HOFer in Durant, a borderline one in Iggy(stats probably not good enough but just a great player) and Klay is probably a HOF guy too with stats and titles.

It's looking like passing on Coby White may have been a mistake.

I was watching the Mavs game at the gym. Doncic is such an amazing player. I haven't enjoyed watching someone play this much since Steve Nash in his prime.

It's a pretty impressive stat, but to be fair the triple double just isn't what it once was. Not sure what exactly changed, but a ton of players are getting them these days it seems.

White might be good, but I am sure the Grizzlies are putrid. I will wait to judge until he goes against competition that isn't on a B line to the sewer.

a draft mistake... by the Phoenix Suns?!

The top twenty picks are better then Cam considering he is hurt. There all better then the number one pick too. I'm sure we will here about how we missed on P.J. Washington. Rookie's are playing this year that's for sure. WHY?

I saw that the Heat beat the Bucks and went to ESPN to watch the highlights. Apparently the Heat were down by 20 and came back to win in OT but there was nothing but Freak dunks on the 2 minute highlight reel. And his dunks aren't even that special.

I still have no idea how they managed the comeback.

The way they market the league is embarrassing.

The first time I saw this guy play for Oklahoma I came on the board and posted that he would be the next Steph Curry. I don't know jack about evaluating college talent but this just seemed obvious.

I was torn on Ayton vs Doncic. Didn’t really consider taking Trae at #1. But I feel there is a good chance pairing Booker with one of those guys for the next ten years would have been the better move.

Hopefully it’s more like Blake griffin (w/o the injuries) being selected over harden and curry. And not like Oden over Durant or Bowie over Jordan...

So when do we start talking about Curry's inability to lead a bad team to wins? Warriors look terrible so far.

At least until after we play them on Wednesday. Never wise to poke the bear.

Trailblazers best the Mavs, blazers challenged a foul called on Dame and got it overturned.
