On Trey Hendriksen... Love the player.
But I aint comfortable giving up pick 47 in a year where defensive front is the strongest we have seen in years.
But, I would give up 2 thirds...maybe even a 3rd and a 5th this year and a third next year... dude is on the wrong side of 30 for a premium pick IMO...even if just barely
I would throw the 47th pick for Hendrickson( a sure bet). Add Reddick on the other side and suddenly we add 25 sacks to this defense. Add a DT with our first pick and we are legit.

Twisting my logic doesn’t make your more right.

Of course it would have helped if Monti would have pulled it off during the season. My point was that the roster wasn’t ready by this time last year and I do not believe Monti even looked in that direction at that moment.

It’s been widely reported that the team developed faster than Gannon and Monti thought it would and that is why Monti tried to trade for both Crosby and Garrett as it has been comfirmed he tried before the trade deadline.

On the stones. I clearly write that I believe that proves he has the stones when he tried BUT also that I’m not giving him credit before he actually executes on it. You can agree if the effort proves that but I’m making it very clear what my opinion is, but I cannot give credit yet. It there in black and white!
I mean, you're damning Monti here. He didn't even look in that direction, he didn't understand the development of his own team, he had to panic react before the trade deadline and supposedly try for some Hail Mary trades. That's not a good look for Monti. That's a GM not knowing what he's doing. Your narrative, not mine.

Good one!

Ehh, no... I stand by what has been reported. YOUR conclusion on those reports are not on me.

Nope. I just summarized what you wrote without the rose colored glasses.
Nah dude.

1. Your ability to digest my comments and statements and draw YOUR conclusions doesn’t make it my conclusions

2. I’m not old or naive enough to believe that the world is static and plans never change

3. I do not day drink enough to forget all the factors that would have impacted the decision between early March 2024 and late October 2024.

I'm not laughing at you. I actually love this post, especially #3. Well played!

Yes, Monti inquired about him. That doesn't mean he will meet the asking price. He very well could have just been seeing what it would take to get him, hence the "inquiry" instead of an "offer."
Exactly. I'm giving Monti zero credit for checking the asking price. I could walk into my nearest Porsche dealer and ask what the price on a Panamera, of course I have zero intent on purchasing it. I could then go to the nearest nightclub and tell a beautiful woman I "asked" the price on a Panamera today. I don't think that would serve me well in trying to get her phone number.

Just move to Asia - problem fixed.
