KK was asked about it after the game and said, “I wanted to get a Kodak timeout, one of those looks at it,” Kingsbury said. “Hopefully burn their best play. They ran a play that worked for us initially. Just didn’t work out for us this time.”

There was no mention Joseph asked for the TO. Did anyone get anything else from the presser?

He wouldn't throw Vance under the bus like that IMO. either way..... some of the best decisions Belicheck ever made were when he did nothing. Like not calling a TO right before Butler got the INT.

He does it all the time. That stuff only comes with experience.

I agree. Belicheck does little mind games like this frequently, and since he's had so much experience, it usually works. I didn't follow him early in his career, so I don't know, maybe he had the same mistakes along the way as Kliff, and it gets better with experience.

Heck I'd rather try something now, fail at it, and learn from it quickly, than just repeat the same mistakes over and over again each year. I think Kliff is that kind of guy that will learn as he goes and get better.

Except based on Joseph’s history I would have expected him to speak up if he asked for it.

We were lucky to be in that position anyways because a couple plays prior their WR dropped an almost wide open TD pass. Sucks that we got the stop on 4th down, all for not but had the guy not dropped the TD catch...............? We wouldn't even be talking about this.

Funny how none of the talking heads even

He is not getting interviewed until next week Thursday if we follow normal routine. Also media will just say he is trying to help take blame for head coach. The timeout tactic was something Vance probably worked out with K2 during SF timeout when they realized 49ers not going FG.

Also if 49ers dont score, do they come out more aggressive in 2nd half & our offense not as desperate? Ebbs & flows are what makes football so great imho

I was kind of surprised by the TO. If they would have lined up in some exotic formation or there was a player unaccounted for or some confusion I get it. I don't really know what you gain from seeing how they line up, the D is going to play their formation regardless, and then they are going to change the play anyways based on how they saw you trying to defend on it.
